Smashbox has come up with a genius idea in their new liners. 'The Nude' liners are lip pencils that match everything and look like nothing. Like the iconic "Spice" lip liner from MAC and the unfortunately-named "666" pencil from Wet n Wild, these Smashbox pencils are the lip equivalent of the little black dress. Praised as "the only lip liner you'll ever need", the nude pencils come in four shades to match a good range of lip pigmentations. They are:


Fair - Light neutral pink


Light - Pinky beige


Medium - Deep beige


Dark - Dark neutral brown

The pencils are designed to match your lip tone and create a defined lip that looks organic to the face, not overdone. Aside from their beautiful shades, they contain ingredients to prevent feathering and promote longer wear. Each contains vitamins C and E and jojoba oil to condition the lips.

I'm so glad they introduced

I'm so glad they introduced a range of nude lipliners rather than just one or two. All of the cult-fave nude lipliber go orange on me. Fair looks promising!

I picked up the Medium today

I picked up the Medium today at Sephora and it tested like butter! It was so creamy and smooth. I haven't worn it yet so I don't know about how long lasting it will be or if it will be drying yet. I am a sucker for a good lipliner. I found the Fair to be too pink and didn't even notice the Medium. I had settled on the Light but the MUA suggested the Medium for me and it was perfect. HTH!

This may be my new favorite

This may be my new favorite lipliner. The color held up really well and didn't change on me like some other lip products. I paired mine with one of the new shades of Dazzleglass. Beautiful!

I tried a light and medium. They did hold up well. I was pleased. I may pick up the darker shade too.
