It's not really about

It's not really about running out of colors,Their was a trend with the black lip and mac is a trend company.
The shades do have a lot of black but are made to either deepen a color or give a sheer wash of color depending on application.
Also products like the black cream color base and grease paintstick can both be used for bases.And another reason for deeper colors is that it is a fall collection.

I'm looking forward to the Volcanic Ash though, I missed out on that.

Ah yes! Now I have a legit excuse to dye my hair blue-black, wear it all bed-head, and listen to Joy Division; w/out being written off as a gloomy depressed teen. Now, I'll just be a gloomy depressed yuppy, but on meds...with more expensive MU than WnW.

But seriously, I'm buying EVERY l/s, l/g, and n/p...hell, it's all going on my list. I'm excited about this one. I just wish MAC would be even more avant garde and release this collection during the summer instead of end of September. It's all rather predictable by then (the darker, vampier colors of fall/winter); plus, it's too close to Halloween, which brings on the STUPID jokes: "uh, Halloween isn't for another month" HA.
