I use L'Oreal Volume Shocking for the primer - and I bent the wand so that it curls my lashes as I apply it.

Then I use L'Oreal Telescopic over that for lots of length!

I use any of the silicone wand (CG, Max Factor, HIP) for my under lashes because they seperate so nicely.
