I live in Arbroath, a small fishing town on the northeast coast of Scotland, though I'm from a little further south.



It's probably no better nor worse than anywhere else, but the people do have a real small town mentality and most of them seem to be related to each other. The high street is full of charity shops and the closest MAC counter is about 100 miles away in Glasgow. (x.DOLLYMiX.x, at least you're closer than that - perhaps a small consolation? )

On the whole, it's a reasonable place to live though and I feel quite safe here. My parents live in a nicer part of town than my husband and I do, but it's still relatively quiet and we don't get any trouble. Things could be worse.
