I think AT&T always has had a problem with dropping calls.
I think one of the main problems is that US phones don't use GSM where as everywhere else pretty much does. So apple will adapt phones for mainly GSM use and do all their testing with GSM.And then very quickly and badly modify it for the US.
So usually phones are specially modified which takes time and effort, and this happens after they are released...So the US modifications happen after release....Oh dear!
That's why the rest of the world is about 2 years ahead in phone technology.
How do I know this....
When the Motorola razor came to the US it had been out for 2 years in the UK!
Oh and I just asked my brother about the apple IPhone stuff...Hes a techie for them and a Physics degree student :-) Knows his stuff though!
