No I don't think they are similar. Conjure Up is darker and more plum (I feel that Gentle is more similar to the mauve spectrum).

i got conjure up too, but have to be SO light with it, otherwise i look like ive been for a run, but not in a good way!
 Conjure Up didn't look as good on me as SDN did; it actually looked very artificial on my face.
