I own makeup from a variety of price points. Before I buy a new product, I usually research obsessively in magazines or on Makeup Alley. So most of my possessions are cult favorites, and I will spend the money regardless of the price. Most does happen to be department store, but I do have a few drugstore items.

I find my system works pretty well, since I'm always getting my money's worth.
