I remember when I got my first teaching jobs and pearl snap shirts, trucker hats, and polyesther(sp) pants came into "style" again and I LAUGHED at this kid when he walked in the room talking about how cool his shirt, was, I told him he looked like he raided my dads closet.
I know I see the 80s influenced clothes in Old Navy etc.... and part of me loves some of it,--- and then I see something that I gave to goodwill ten years ago.....
What is "EMO" please explain-I'm out of it on terminology. What is scary is this stuff starts when kids are in their early teens, getting that sense of "style' or self. My daughter is ten, lord help me.
I remember when a lot of that was in style the first time as well...and a lot of it I made fun of then
Thank goodness my ten year old is so frilly girly girl in INNATE nature she doesn't even remotely register with the 'scene'.
