Contouring & Brows
I know there are a bunch of brow tutorials on here so I figured I'd add in mine...and I got a request for a contouring tutorial, so here we go....

My makeup mess

Foundation, concealer & powder

Contouring first...
You can contour with just about anything. Right now I am obsessed w/ Sun Rays Studio Mist, but when I'm being lazy I contour w/ bronzer or Dark (sometimes Deep dark) MSF

*Spray Studio Mist on a quad & pick some up on an angle brush. This is a Matisse NYC brush, but the MAC equivalent would be the 168 or 169.

*Make a fish face (suck in your cheeks) & start the contouring up by your ear & bring down towards your lips (don't bring the color all the way to your lips, stop about in line w/ the apples of your cheeks)

*Contour along/underneath your jawline & blend down your neck a bit

*Contour along the sides & top of your forehead along your hairline...you may also want to contour along your temples, but since my brow bone sticks out so much as it is, I do not do this.

*And along the outsides of your nose

*Add blush to the apples of your cheeks (& I don't care how 80s it is, I always bring the blush upwards)

*Now to highlight...I use Silver Dusk. You want to make sure that you don't get too much on your brush so you don't look like a glittery mess.

*Apply under the outer part of your eyes & up just a little.

*And then (I forgot to take a pic of this) along the bridge of your nose, center of your forehead, chin & the top of your lip (cupid's bow area)

*Blend everything together. I use a 182, but if you want a more precise look keep using the angled blush brush.

And now for the brows....

I have VERY light brows naturally-even these are dyed. I then wax the very little bit of hair that I have so that I have a base line as a starting point....but I kinda messed them up the last time I waxed them & made my right brow too high.

*Draw a bottom line to your brows (Strut brow pencil)

(here you can see how I fixed the unevenness w/ the brow pencil)

*Take some eyeshadow (I use Cork) & place your brush at the start of your brows. (I use an angled brush from MUD-it's a bit thicker than MAC's 208) I use the thickness of my brush to determine the width, but you can make them thicker or thinnner depending on how you hold the brush.

*Rotate the brush just before you get to the arch to thin out the line (I think of it as like a calligraphy pen)

*As you go around the arch, keep rotating the brush to create a point

*And then I go over the cork w/ a light coat of Folie to make it closer to my hair color.

*Smooth out the harshness of the lines w/ your finger

*As an extra step-do this if you haven't gotten your brows done in a while or you want them to be extra precise....
Take a synthetic hair angle brush or a flat edge brush (Sephora's angle brush/MAC's 242) & place concealer under your brows (and above if necessary). Traditionally you would want to do this w/ a concealer that is 1 or 2 shades lighter than your skintone to create a natural looking highlight, but that's not an option of me so I just used my W 10 full coverage to keep a precise line.

*Blend & you're done!
