Apologies if this is in the wrong section of the forum, but I'm looking for a MAC dupe for Patina.

I must have almost every other MAC neutral colour that has ever been released except Patina and I'm refusing to buy any more neutrals on the basis that I have no more room in my palettes.... Unless of course you guys tell me that I can't possible live without Patina, in which case I'll be looking for 14 other neutral shadow recs to make up another neutral palette :p

Please rescue me ;)

Let me start off by saying that I am horrible with blush! It scares me, hehe. I have already pigmented cheeks (I've had makeup artists tell me I'm 'lucky' and don't even need to use blush), so when I use blush I am always afraid that it looks... weird because it looks like I have two colors on, or they're uneven or splotchy because of my natural coloring. Secondly, I'm afraid it looks like I have too MUCH blush on, so I always use a light hand.

To summarize:

I am a MAC NC20, and always use foundation and concealer.

I also have medium reddish/brown hair (dyed). I think; I'm horrible at describing coloring.

I would like some recommendations on what blushes to use, mostly I would like contouring colors!! I would love for my cheeks to look more contoured.

Thanks in advance!

I realllyyyyy need help adding two more wearable, preferably non-matte neutral shades to my teeny weeny collection.
Just so you know, satin taupe looked kinda greyish on me, kind of washed me out, i hate woodwinked(dont like golds),it looked orangey on me....i have issue of things looking too orange or too light on me...eww!!
Mulch and sketch look great...so which slightly shimmery ones do i need to complete my first quad???
im NC 35 in studio fix...dark hair and eyes...
Really need you advice,guys!!!
thanks!!!!

Hi again,

I absolutely love, love, love Mac's Face and Body Foundation - but....

I have a bit of a problem with the bottles I purchase appearing to 'go off'. It's like the liquid separates and when you put it on it's almost oilier or something. I try shaking it and everything, but it doesn't seem to work.:???:

It's weird because the first bottle I ever bought was perfect and I had no trouble with it doing this, but the last two have both gone weird on me. :dunno:

Anyone have any hints/tips on maintaing the life of this foundation???

Thanku in advance!

That being said, I noticed that all you ladies have yours orginized by color. I am planning on owning quite a few, so I was wondering how I should start. I don't 'need' any colors specifically, I just want to get my collection started. ...so which should I start with?? And do you ladies mix different finishes together or just do a matte pallete, satin, ect?

I really love the look of lining my eyes with shadow rather then liquid though, but I'm having issues with doing cat eyes! Any advice would be great!;)

Also I have a 266se, should I go for a regular 266 or have you noticed no big difference between the two? I really do love this brush!

However, I was at a CCO the other day and bought a bunch of stuff, got home and two of my products have a MACY's sticker (the "Required for Return" ones they put on when you buy something and scan it into their system) and one has a Dillard's sticker on it! This is really strange! One of the blushes with the sticker has been swatched! Can an MA or someone help me figure this out? I am just curious because I always thought returned cosmetics were never to be resold.:???:

So I have a ton of eyeshadow brushes, but I'm really interested in the 239.

I love my Loew-Cornell dupe, but lately it's been feeling really scratchy and when I tried the 239 at the MAC counter, it was heavenly soft...which just fed my craving.

I don't own any MAC brushes, so it's hard for me to justify spending so much on a brush when I have a bunch of other perfectly fine eyeshadow brushes.

I'm also worried that I might be too rough with my 239 if I do get it and mess it up, so one question: is it damaging to the bristles to kind of rub it back and forth dry against a paper towel/washcloth? I do that with my other cheaper brushes b/c I tend to use one brush for multiple colors.

Please help!
Convince me for or against!
