You can see my pic in my avatar, I'm quite blonde. I usually just get lighter highlights, but I was trying to find pictures of something funkier and I found this.... (just looking at the color....not the cut)




So my question is this...do you think at 39, this hair color comes across as 'trying to hard to be young?' That's not what I want to portray at all! I know I'm not supposed to care what people think...but I also don't want to give the wrong impression.

Should I stick to blonde tones to get the two toned effect or can I pull this off?

Since then I have been trying to bleach it at home, but it's not really working for me.

It should be fairly easy considering my hair is very short, but i can't find a product that works for me. They don't bleach the hair enough, so my dark roots just turn that nasty yelow/orange colour, we don't like.

I have used Schwartzkopf blonde, first the one, that lightens 4 shades, then the one that lightens 6 shades. The latter was a bit better, but still orange :(

Does anyone know of any product that will work?
