Best way to apply MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation?

Hey ladies!

I just recently purchased MAC Studio Sculpt foundation and before buying- I've read a ton of ways of apply it. I'm just wondering how YOU guys apply it so I can also try out those ways. Sponge? 187? 109? Fingers?

I use the 190 brush. It's alright not that bad but I would love to know how others apply it as well.

I use the 187 and am pleased with the result.

Well I use the 187 brush by stippling it on my face first and then I use a kabuki brush to blend it afterwards. It gives me an airbrush look and it doesn't feel heavy at all when I do it this way. If you have oily skin use a light moisturizer because then you'll be blotting your face like crazy afterwards (I had this happen to me and never again. LOL) HTH

I use a 187 with a light hand.
I loooove this foundation!

I buff it on my face with the 183 brush.

I apply it with a 187 and then buff with the 182.

I tried the brushes but prefer clean fingers! Sometimes I mix it with primer first for a softer finish.

I use my 188 and then buff using MSFN and my Sugar Kabuki :-)

I'd suggest the 109 or a kabuki brush. This way you are buffing and thining it out for easy application. It will be flawless, guaranteed!

I use the 190 but have the 109. I'm not going to use it yet until I can get my hands on clear nail polish so I can preserve the lettering.

i use the 109. occasionally i use the 187. but i recently tried the 131 (LE from Colour Craft) and i think it's the best so far.

I use the 187 and the Kabuki from Everyday Minerals. Works great for me.

That's interesting, I'd never thought of doing that. I'd love to do something to prevent the lettering from rubbing off.

Yeah me too but since hearing that the 109 shed, I returned it so preserving the lettering will have to wait. I got this idea from reading it from others. I don't know why most of my brushes that I haven't had for long, the lettering is almost already gone but I have the 190 for like almost 3 years and the lettering is still in perfect condition. Why is that? Also, my 227 the lettering is still in perfect condition and I have done nothing to it.

You know you're right. I just looked at my older brushes and the lettering is still in tact, but the lettering on some of my newer ones has already rubbed off. Interesting, but from now on it'll be clear nail polish for me. I had been using my 187 for studio sculpt, but after reading the suggestions on here about the 109, I've tried it and it works perfect.

i spray a small amount of Fix + on my face. then apply sculpt with fingers.

I find this is best without too much moisturizer on the skin first. I even skip prep and prime and just put it over my normal moisturizer. I use a 190 brush and find that is the best way to use it on people as well. It's gel based so it's really easy to blend it and u can add more or buff it away for a lighter finish.

I love the 187 ! [: I apply my moisturizer and primer with a brush, let it set, and then use the 187 to apply studio sculpt <33
