Some people toss it in the laundry once in awhile, but eventually it will be bashed up and you'll need a new one.

Re: Can you wash/clean....
Is it a sponge pad? I'm sorry I don't have the blot powder, but I wash my sponge pad from the studio fix compact all the time by hand using baby shampoo or handsoap. Works well. If it's a fluffier pad, I'm not sure why that wouldn't work as well?

Re: Can you wash/clean....
I am invariably impressed w/MAC quality for the price, however, I just picked up my first Blot a couple of weeks ago and was pretty startled at how cheap the included puff is/was, and I say was because it got tossed after one use. The ones you pick up in the drugstore are better, or I may use a collapsible powder brush I already have.
