Got to Play With New Icon Collection

I was at my local (if you can call an hour away local) Mac counter today. The MA I was talking to asked if I wanted to see the collection and pulled out the testers to show me. It is rare for me to find a collection where so much is useable with my coloring which is similar to Raquel Welch. This collection does not have teenager written all over it to be sure. But very nice, low key colors. I already have my list ready My first impression was that the tiger print is nicer in person then in the photos. The brushes were nice and similar to already existing ones, but the MA pointed out they are slightly different. The bigger brush is a looser brush then the regular one. The smaller brush is longer then the similar regular one.

I saw a few items from this collection last night, the package is beautiful. They did not have all the items, at least not the items I wanted to purchase. The blushes don't have the animal print compact, but its a shiny black, like the l/s, similar to the ones from the Formal Black col.

OK, I am really bad at this, and I have limited knowledge of repromotes and so forth. I saw the quads and they did nothing for me. But I am not "into" eyeshadow. Each quad had 1-2 colors I would like, but not all 4 in each quad. I personally think they look better in the promo pics. So I did not pay too much attention to them.

I really liked the the beauty powder and will probably pick up Peaceful. It added a nice glow to my skin when I tried it on my hand. Almost like a perfect hint of a tan with a glow.

One blush was too pink for me, the other reminded me of Orgasm, must have been Goddess. The glimmershimmer was not there, neither were a couple other items they are still waiting for. I really liked all the lipsticks I saw, it is going to be hard to limit myself to 1 or 2. The same goes for the lipglass.

Did you see all the Beauty Powders? I wonder if they have shimmers so if they can be used as highlighters too, especially the peachy one, I'm such a peach-whore! LOL
