Just received my MAC Lip Erase today, so far I'm hugely disappointed! Need tips :(

I applied with finger - swiping just does nothing, you get an extremely thin layer but it doesn't adhere, rather it disappears with the next swipe.

Patting improves the coverage but even with two layers, it was still very sheer. I applied gloss on top, only waited 20 secs. or so and, again, it hadn't adhered to the lips and there were loads of 'cream lines' under the gloss.

The batch code is from Aug. 2007 but the product is brand new, only been used recently.

I'd love to know how to work this thing, it's Pale shade if that makes a difference. Help me love Lip Erase *sob*
