Re: mineralize satinfinish foundation warning
Thanks for the info! I ordered my regular shade of NW45, but I think it'll still be okay if I sheer it out -- it's winter and I've lightened up a tad bit. I probably won't be able to wear it in the summer though since I darken up then. But, we'll see. Can't wait to receive mine in the mail.
Anybody else tested these out?

Re: mineralize satinfinish foundation warning
Well it least it won't be golden on me. Studio Fix fluid looks so golden on me, but I love the finish.

Re: mineralize satinfinish foundation warning
I ran out and bought the NC20 and the skinfinish natural in medium and they are lovely. I hate the rest of MAC's liquid foundations b/c I feel they are heavy but so far I like the natural look of satinfinish. It does have noticeable sparkle like others have mentioned but not as bad as one would think. You can see if you look up close but otherwise it looks really natural and light! I also use a sponge to make it more sheer so I can't comment on application with a brush. The skinfinish is very nice applied with 187 and looks good by itself and over satinfinish. I also bought shimpagne and I can't wait till its gets hotter and I can start having the summertime bronze glow that it gives me. I dusted it on very lightly and it also looks great. I am so glad that MAC repromoted this since I never got it the first time.

YAY. Maybe this means I have hope of matching up to a NW20 since there is no NW15.

Re: mineralize satinfinish foundation warning
Arrgh! Hearing raves about this makes it all the more frustrating that I bundled myself up today and went out for the sole purpose of picking up a Satinfinish (and probably a brush), but my counter didn't get any of it in! I was so flustered that I actually left the counter without buying anything, which, as my fiance will tell you, is such a rare event that it could possibly cause a rupture in the space-time continuum.

Re: mineralize satinfinish foundation warning
I really hope this is true for all the shades because I need NW15 too.

Re: mineralize satinfinish foundation warning
I normally wear NW15 (in Studio Fix powder) and I got a sample of Mineralize Satinfinish in NW20, the lightest shade available. It looks like a pretty good match so far. I will do an official full-face test drive tomorrow. I also got the MSF Natural in Light and I LOVE it! HTH

Re: mineralize satinfinish foundation warning
oh no! I asked for a sample and the MA gave me an NC37, and I usually wear NC40 (Studio fix powder). I haven't tried it yet. We shall see.

Re: mineralize satinfinish foundation warning
Q of the year: If the shades are lighter than the color they are labeled, WHY DID THEY LABEL THEM THAT WAY?! It just makes no sense to me. I'm not touching NW20 until I try some myself at the counter. Studio Fix liquid ruined me on trying new foundations.

Re: mineralize satinfinish foundation warning
Studio fix fluid and mineralize satin finish are actually totally different, besides the fact that they are both liquid foundations
the consistency is different
the finish is different
and the coverage is different

Re: mineralize satinfinish foundation warning
I am taking mine back because it's just entirely too sparkly... It didn't look bad in the store or on my face or hand, then I went outside and the sun shining down on my hand made it look like I had glitter all over my hand... I don't want a glittery looking face. Too bad, cause I was really excited about it.

Re: mineralize satinfinish foundation warning
I absolutely agree that you need to get color matched for this one. I am NC20 in every other MAC foundation that I use (and Hyperreal in NC200) but the best match for me ended up being NW20. I have been wearing this foundation for 2 days now and I have to tell you that I just love it. It feels light and has a beautiful finish.

But apart from that, they're completely the same!
I kid, I kid. Liquid foundations aren't interchangable just because they're liquid. Try it out for yourself rather than listen to The Internet.
