Ugh… I stopped by my local counter because I need Aquadisiac and they were out; so I checked in to see if they got it in. I was chatting with the managing MA (who sort of asked that I not name her..haha) and she told me that the release date for Paints has been delayed because there was a problem with the product. She didn’t get into specifics but said there was an “issue”. That does not so good and what made it worse was that there is no specific date when these are going to be available. I hope that this isn’t another dragged on thing as it was with Prep and Prime =(

Disclaimer: If for any reason these things do come out on Thursday, please keep in mind that I am only repeating what the MA told me so don’t shoot the messenger! She is always on top of things when it comes to the release dates so I am inclined to believe her, even though I hope she is wrong.

the NE quads are up on the site now... the paints are listed as coming soon with swatches..

I so hope this info is wrong. I would rather be accused of spreading false info than having to wait forever for the new Paints...lol. I was all dorky in my excitement to have them. What I don’t understand is that I recall seeing the swatches somewhere last week. I wonder if this was a last minute decision regarding the quality control. I wanted to shake the MA and beg her to tell me it wasn’t so. Um.. ok, maybe not exactly that dramatic but I was still bumming.

Oh…. Another thing she said to me was that if I saw the new paints at a CCO. NOT to get them. I just remembered that point. This is like a mystery..haha!

I am going to call the Pro Store and find out if they have any info.

It could be true, at the Preview Night, we didn't had the chance to see the new Paints. She said they didn't received it yet.

Jude: I was at my local counter today and the manager told me that the release of Paints has been delayed. Is this true?
Vanessa: Yes, I'm sorry for the delay. We don't have an alternate launch date either.

That is so bizarre. I wonder what was wrong with the new ones that they had to delay them or if they weren't ready or something. Odd. The colorstory is up on the MAC website but is mostly just showing the old colors still as being available.

I'm more annoyed than anyone, i've never owned a paint as i just want one that i can use as a 'no makeup look' colour on my lids and these new shades looked natural and pretty..Ah well atleast our money is saved for a little longer.

Yeah, even though it seems to have been cleared up that there is definitely a delay, my MA told me that this afternoon, too....I was so sad/mad. I'm not so jonesed for NE except maybe Birds of a Feather for B2M...Maybe the nonglittery lipglass as well, but I never like enough colors in premade quads to buy them.

I heard this last week at my counter as well, but after not really hearing about it again, I didn't believe it. I think the MA said something about the FDA recalling them, which I guess means there was some problem with the formula, but that was all she said. Seems kind of odd, but who knows.

The paints are up on the Canadian website now and all have the little add to cart box instead of the coming soon. Maybe they are available now?

I talked to the NYC pro store the other day and was told there was a problem with them...so they would be pushed back just a few weeks. But we heard that about prep and prime too. Hopefully theyll be up soon!

I just ordered 6 of the new ones on the MAC website. They must've just made them available because they weren't there this a.m. when I ordered some other stuff.

I mean they were there but had the "Coming soon" or whatever it was. Now you can get them tho.
