Shorter Hair

Hey girls, I'm going to go get my hair cut in a week, and I know what I want... kinda... I have really thick curly hair which I want to cut. I'm pretty sure I want the short style which you can put back if you want to (you know, with the baby pony tail!). I think my hair would become wavy with this style (since the underside of my hair curls much more then the top layer).

Problem is, I can't find ANY pictures...at all. I have no idea how to explain it to my hair dresser, also, I'm looking for some righteous bangs. I straighten my bangs everyday now... they aren't curly... ANY help wanted. TIA!
