awkward reaction to eyeshadow ?
hey ,
i noticed that when i'm putting make up on and get to my eyeshadow , sometimes i get this weird reacting on my lid, and its more in the inner v near the tear duct area , it becomes itchy , the texture of my skin seems to change as well there and it even changes the color of the eyeshadow , it makes it look darker than it is , and it gets a bit watery . it has happened with my L'Oreal e/s(it's a pearly off white color) as well as an Ingloy e/s (which is purple) . it messes up my make up and i dont even feel like wearing any anymore . what could that be ?

Re: awkward reaction to eyeshadow ?
It sounds like you're having an allergic reaction to a common ingredient. While I have yet to find a cosmetic that does that (thank goodness) I'm very sensitive to common allergens, which mess with my eyes and change the way my eyeshadow looks. As redundant as it sounds, your skin is reacting to it (or maybe the ducts) and that is the cause. What ingredient does it? I have no clue. (Could you be getting it into your eye? This would cause the reaction even more...)

Re: awkward reaction to eyeshadow ?
Does this happen after you prime or without primers? It might be the primer you are having a reaction to...a lot of people seem to find some of them too harsh (UDPP for example).

I have heard of people having an allergy to the red dye in eye shadows (purple, red, even blues have the dye in them)...they can only wear light/neutral shades. But you said you used a white one and had that reaction so that's not likely to be your issue.
