Eyeshadow as BLUSH?
Hey there everyone! So a couple of weeks ago I purchased Tete-a-tint eyeshadow because it is such a beautiful color. but recently I found that it doesn't work well on my eyes (for some odd reason it looks orange...) I played around with it then finally thought of trying it on my cheeks as a blush and it worked!!!(I'm an NC25) it gives me a nice warm caramel/pinky/peachy flush. I HAVE used other eyeshadows on my face before *Retro-Speck and Honey Lust as a MSF dupe* So my question is: Is it safe for my skin? I have heard of pigments as a highlight and cheek color but not eyeshadow...some people are allergic/sensitive to these things so I just wanted to hear if anyone has had any bad experiece with that in the long run. Thanks for your help! and sorry for the looong post.

Re: Eyeshadow as BLUSH?
rule of thumb is... if it is safe on or around ur eyes.... it can be worn anywhere on ur face except for maybe the lips... anything that is lip safe is most deff eye safe but that is not always the case the other way around. Eyeshadow as a blush is fine I love paradisco as a blush

Re: Eyeshadow as BLUSH?
Yep it is safe! Eyeshadow and blush are both talc-based (excluding mineral products). They are for the most part the same stuff. Blushes tend to be more sheer and eyeshadows and more pigmented in general but they are very similar in formulation. I have Clinique's Iced Lotus blush from a GWP and I hate it on my face, but I love it as a sheer wash of color on my eyes. Again, completely safe!!!

Re: Eyeshadow as BLUSH?
Go for it, I use loads of E/S's as blush, and I've never had an ill-effect from it... I just think that if it's safe enough for the sensitive eye skin, it'll be grand on your cheeks ;D

While they are both talc based, as a rule of thumb eyeshadows are cheek safe, but blushes are not necessarily eye safe (though I am assuming some are). This is because pigments used in blush don't necessarily need to be eye safe, and thus sometimes aren't

I love experimenting with eyeshadows as blushes.

Sometimes I use Hepcat as a deep plum blush. It's really pretty. I hope I'm not doing any damage when I do that.

Re: Eyeshadow as BLUSH?
if the eyeshadow is safe on the eyelid, which is skin, why wouldn't it be safe to use on he cheek, which is skin too? You can use blush as an eyeshadow.

Re: Eyeshadow as BLUSH?
I've been using a lipstick as a blush recently and that's working out pretty well for me.
