Pigment Safety
Okay! I have a list of pigment safety from August 2008. I'm SO sorry I never posted it but I just remembered when I saw another thread regarding pigment safety! Here is a list of all the pigments and usage restrictions.
Please note that pigments are not toxic when they are used in the restricted areas. When something is "not safe" it is meant that it may cause a reaction or was not tested in that designated area, or contain ingredients that aren't comfortable or made to be used in certain areas. Not being approved for an area means that MAC does not condone, recommend, or approve of it being used in that place, and it is up to that customer's discretion if they want to use it there. Put simply, MAC doesn't want it there, but it's not going to kill you. All pigments are safe for use on the face and body. :P

Notes: I REALLY hope this information hasn't been posted yet because it took me SO long to type it out and color code the safety info!! This information should be useful if made sticky by the mods! I will keep this updated as more pigments are released, or I'll PM a mod to update if it becomes locked! Hope this info helps!

There were actually two gold and two silvers listed but I assumed they were just rereleased items! I'm not sure which is which though. I noted the exceptions as to whether they're safe or not!

Re: Pigment Safety
Thank you so much for putting this in one place. I def. agree in making this thread a sticky! I've had to make a list like this of mines in previous years but scrapped it, thinking it's easier to take my chance instead of trying to remember which is safe and not

Re: Pigment Safety
Thanks for making the Pigment Safety list! So helpful! I myself keep a list of pigments that are not lip and/or eye safe.

Re: Pigment Safety
I just bought Silver pigment (AB7 on bottom of jar) from the Pro store in Chicago, IL last night and it is not eye safe. Neither is Platinum. Both of them are also listed as being flammable. I just thought I'd give a heads up because this list does not reflect that information.

The list was provided to me through a fax from MAC HQ. Should I edit Silver and Platinum and make them not eye safe?
Opinions?

I'm buying Vanilla, Pink Bronze, Cornflower, Golden Lemon, and Golden Olive next week. So, I'm extremely happy they are all eye safe!

Weird, the slip in my Pastorale said it is not lip safe.
Thanks for maintaining that list.
