Question for green eyed yellow undertoned girls out there
Which, if any, green MAC eyeshadows look good on you? TIA!

Juxt is fab. Humid is gorgeous, especially to line with. I loved Sprout but got a faulty pot and had to take it back and then couldn't get another one

What I would REALLY recommend though is a Clarins eyeshadow. It's got a terrible name, 'Groovy Green' but the colour and texture are amazing. Looks great with woodwinked, or humid for a smokey eye!

I think green eyeshadow looks unflattering on green eyes, tbh. I avoid it like the plague.

Some greens do look good on mine...Lancome's Blink e/s, and MAC's Forever Green powerpoint or Tarnish Kohl, for example...it's usually the muddier/darker ones. Greensmoke looks pretty good too, but I have problems with the glitter....wish they made something like that in a VP. I will try the other suggestions above. Thanks

What about Velvet Moss? I've never seen that one in person....

NC25 with blue/green(heavy on the green) eyes here.

I agree with the above, that some green colours can be absolutely GORGEOUS on me. Generally, the richer they are, the better they look. Also "hazel" eyeshadow colours look beautiful. I haven't seen any from MAC yet, but Merle Norman has one *called* Hazel that looks great on me. I have to say that my paler greens(like juxt and silly goose) don't look very good on me. ANYTHING with a copper/orange/peach base looks fab with the green in my eyes. The problem is generally finding one that's right for your skin, too, though.

The following are all MAC.

BEST:
-Twinks
-Amber Lights
-Soba
-Slip Pink
-Soft Brown
-Coppering

Also nice:
-Swiss Chocolate
-Cork
-Teal Pigment
-Naked Pigment
-Mangomix Shadestick
-Velvet Moss
-Coco Pigment

I should probably add that my ST Patricks Day FOTD is probably one of the prettiest looks I've had.

This is from the eye part of the fotd I posted:

-MAC Silly Goose e/s on inner lid, blended into Humid

-Merle Norman Supreme Mascara in Black-Brown

Yeah, Juxt and Silly Goose were in there, but they looked much better when mixed with the richness of Velvet Moss(it actually said "humid" in the post, but I meant to put VM, as I don't own humid. lol) and teal pigment. Even my husband complemented me on it, and he thinks makeup is silly.

I have swimming, steamy, aquadisiac, the warm holiday 2005 eyeshadow palette, all that glitters, and beautiful iris. They're all fairly flattering colors on me, but cranberry especially makes my eyes look green-er. (Steamy makes my eyes look blue.) Teal, blue-brown, and rose pigments are also great.

Thanks Karen. Some of those look good on me too and others I haven't tried, but will check out. For some reason I can't get Soba to look good on me at all though. My "best" list includes Tempting (best of the best, lol), sable, mulch, era, haux, grain. Your FOTD sounds very pretty. I just ordered Velvet Moss the other day so I'll try something along those lines when I get it. Would love to hear how you like your Lucky Green once you get a chance to play with it!

Most of these girls have the same opinion as me. I have green eyes and I'm an NC15 and my favorite colors to wear are greens.

My faves are:
Fiction
Greensmoke
Humid
Femme Noir*
Juxt
Lustreleaf
Overgrown.

I love Femme Noir as well, but am too chicken to use it for anything but a liner, lol. What does Lustreleaf look like? I missed that one.

I usually use Club with Shroom as a highlight..
I got these recs from.. http://fairytale22.org/dusty/
CLUB

1. Stilife paint as a base. Lazy Green packed onto lid ( dabbing stroke as opposed to brushing stroke) Soft Brown e/s in crease, Vellum to highlight browbone and wash along lower lashes. Club dabbed just in outer corner. Teddy Kohl on lower inner rim.

2. My favorite smoky eye begins and ends with Club. First I apply a very light layer lid to brow, then Carbon on the lid and crease, a slightly shimmery beige on the brow bone, then Club applied heavily on the lid and crease. Line with Carbon, wet, upper and lower lashline.

3. LIPS: Bronze CCB all over, Fabulush CCB in centers. Hush to highlight cupids bow and bottom lower lip. (fingers used)
FACE: random foundation, translucent powder with 187, buffed out with kabuki brush. Bronze CCB and Dusk CCB with 187 on cheeks, forehead, nose, chin. Hush to highlight, massaged in with fingers.
EYES: Hush with 242. Gesso with 242. Club and Print in crease, defined with my contour brush. Hush and MAC gloss under brow. Carbon & Fix+ to line.

4.Club in the crease with soba on the lid and vex on my browbone.

5. Nylon, inner 1/3, up to crease, ExpensivePink, middle 1/3, up to crease, Club, outer 1/3 (lightly) & slightly darker in crease

6. Elite or Woodwinked on lid, Club in crease, Plumage in outer > & to line lower lashline, Retrospeck sheerly to highlight browbone & on inner 1/2 of lower lashline, Nylon on inner corners, Blacktrack to line upper lashline.

7. Club/Nylon/Expensive Pink.

8. Club In the crease with Gorgeous Gold.

9. Club over e/l as base for smoky eye, halfway up lid & concentrated on outer lid, Minted eye kohl lined thickly, Steamy on inner 1/3 and blended up, Swimming packed onto middle of liner.

10. Slick Cream Colour Base from lid to crease, Club patted on over that & Shroom to hightlight.
11. Club with Amber Light at the crease and Shroom under the browbone.

12. Club over Graphito Paint.

13. I use Club as the "smoke" (I have green eyes), Paradisco lightly crease to brow, Nocturnelle outer >, Vellum inner corner, & Cranberry that I'll touch next to the outer >. Then I blend, blend, blend. It is a strange, yet quite interesting "smoky" look.

14. Club on the lid, Vex to highlight, and Humid to line. You could also do Humid in the crease with this look. W/either of these 2, I do Tarnish on the inner rim. Or, Humid on the lid, Club in the crease, Vex to highlight, and Tarnish e/k to line whole eye and inner rim.

15. Aquadisiac, Club & Seedy Pearl.

16. Eyes: Pearl CCB, Goldbit all over, Olive Groove in the crease, Club as a liner w/ Teddy. Stripdown liner, Tantress l/s and Soft Sun l/g.

17. Bare Canvas Paint as a primer. Use Vex eyeshadow with a damp brush to create a pretty iridescent wash. Follow with Club eyeshadow in the outer corner. Layer for intensity. Using a stiff, angled brush, line with Sketch eyeshadow. Use Shroom eyeshadow to highlight.

18. Vellum as a wash, Vex on the lid, Patina in crease outer corner and lined with Club or Stroke of Midnight.

19. Amber Lights all over lid with Golden Olive pigment in the crease(inner half) and Greensmoke in the outer half of crease lined with Club.

20. Chartru paint on the lid, Humid over the Chartru, Club in the crease, highlight w/ Stilife w/ Vex over that, line eyes w/ a dark blue (the blue brings out the jewel tones in the green).

21. Shroom as all-over base color, the bronze of Texture on her lid and the metallic moss of Club. Tarnish to line. Strip Down, Frolic & Varneesh. Melba Blush. First, apply a pale silver/beige shadow all over the entire lid as a base coat. (This color can also be used to highlight the top of the cheekbone, just under the eye.) Then, working with a warm bronze shadow, use a blending brush to sweep the color across the eyelid and up into the crease. Start the color lightly and build the intensity slowly. Using a black eye gloss, Nadine used a brush to gently push this color into the lid. Keep the color more concentrated and wet looking toward the lash line and a bit more subtle and sheer toward the crease. To set the gloss and add a little sizzle to the look, Nadine pressed a shimmering metallic green shadow over the gloss and used a liner brush to also press this color into the lower lash line. It’s important to press the color and not sweep it. If you sweep you’ll end up with a lot of shadow fallout. With a green/black eyeliner pencil line the inside of both the top and bottom lashes. Go back over the bottom lashes running the pencil along the outer edge. Make sure to blend and slightly smudge this color. According to Nadine, "The key to a smoky look is all in the blending. There should be no hard lines, thus the name ‘smokey’!"

22. Orb on browbone, Motif on lid, Soft Brown in crease, Tempting on outer corner & Club to line.

23. Woodwinked on lid, Club in crease, Plumage in outer > & to line.

24. Vex all over, pale pink on browbone, Club in crease, Club wet to line with Old Gold Pigment over it, Mahogany l/l, Spice It Up l/s & Greenhouse l/g.

25. I love Vanilla Pigment with Club.

26. Club on lid, fading up to Vex, Tarnish to line.

27.Tarnish in lashes & blended upwards slightly, Club on lid & up to crease, Juxt over Club in crease, Frill above that.

28. Tarnish in lashes & blended slightly upwards, Club on lid, Amber Lights in crease.

29. Club on lid fading up to Vex in crease, Tarnish to line.

30. Electric Eel on lid w/ Club in crease.

31. Humid on lid, Club on top of Humid & up into crease.

32. Shroom all over, Texture on lid, black cream e/s starting at the lashline & fading up, press Club into the black e/s & to line the eyes over a black e/l.

33. Blu-Noir with Club layered over it and this is just such a gorgeous look.

34. Pearl CCB all over, Goldbit over that, Olive Groove in the crease, Club as a liner w/ Teddy.

35. Shimmermoss on lid, Club in crease.

36. Nylon wash, Club crease.

37. Naturalism Paint on the lids to brow bone area, Discrete in the inner corrners, blended into Paradisco in the middle of the eyes, Nocturnelle on the outer part of the eye, Club on the lower outler edge for just a deeper color. Black liner to line the eyes.

38. Vanilla Pigment lash to brow & esp. at inner corners, Vex from lashline fading to just above the crease, Club heavily at outer comers, blended across lid, fading as you get 1/2 way across (hard to explain!), Tarnish to line all around eye, then smudged & blended for smokiness.

39. Mauvism Paint, Vex on the lid, Club wet on the outer comer with a little De Menthe in there too to green it up.

40. Club w/ Shroom.

41. Surreal w/ Club.

COCO PIGMENT

Sadly all the greens I use (and get a TON of compliments on how green they make my eyes look) aren't MAC. When I do a shimmery white on the inner V, the interference green from the NARS Iceland duo (MAC Reflects Green piggy is the same), and UD Vert on the outer V, I get SO MANY compliments on how green my eyes are. It is my "most requested" eyeshadow combo from my guy friends. Go figure. I don't agree that green shadow on green eyes looks hideous. You just need the right greens!

I love Sumptuous Olive. Also, not quite a green, but Jewel Blue is a green/blue that pulls out the green in my eyes very well.
