Re: Smokey eye for NC20
*~*Lol I had the same problem when I tried to do a smokey eye!!! The problem with me was that I wasn't used to seeing my eyes so dark (and it didn't help that I only used one color: black tied!!)...I would start off doing a pale silver color for the inner corners, then use a darker "gunmetal" silver for the middle of the lid, for the crease & outer v, I would use a super dark gray (or even a touch of black to bring out the smokiness). I attached a pic of Rihanna's eyes @ at event; I know she is a shade or 2 darker than you are, but it will give you an idea of what I'm talking about. Some color suggestions (All MAC):

Electra e/s : muted silver w/ icy metallic shimmer (inner corners)

Silver Ring e/s: cool mid-tone grey with silver sheen (middle of the lid)

Knight Divine e/s: carbon black with silver/blue reflects (crease & outer v)

Black Tied e/s: a midnight black with a silver white sparkle (lightly over Knight Divine; only if you want it smokier)

*I also attached a link to a "smokey eye" tutorial that I found helpful...HTH!!! *~*

Re: Smokey eye for NC20
If you are NC20 I would suggest the Smoking Eyes quad, which was the warmer quad from Smoke Signals. You can go very soft with it:
