I've tried everything: there is no other powder out there that can give you the same flawless results that Studio Fix can. I use my Smashbox Powder Brush to apply and am always amazed at how smooth my skin looks. I love the flip-top packaging where the little puff sits underneath; perfect for touch ups, (if need be! this stuff sits pretty for hours!)

However, when I tried it a couple years back, I did break out. It was a vicious cycle: I wore SF, I broke out, I used more SF to cover up my zits, and I broke out more. I'm taking better care of my skin now, and am trying it again. I'll let you all know what happens...

i loved studio fix. absolutely loved the finish, how it felt, how it made my skin look at first. the MAC MA told me this was great for oily skin, that it worked with your oil to create a natural matte finish. i was excited bc i liked the way it looked and i was told it would be great ... then i realized it didnt work so well with my oily skin. it worked with my oil ... to slick right off. i found i had to reapply very often or touch up. then 4 days after using this, i woke up with awful zits all over my jawline and mouth. horrifying

im trying to keep this around for touchups but im so wary of using it as a foundation anymore.

General Comments on this product: it's a bit steep in the pricing, but for a powder it gives amazing coverage. and the finish is absolutely gorgeous!

At first I really liked this product, I got a lot of compliments on my skin...until I started breaking out like mad. Once I stopped using it, my skin got better. I find if I apply this lightly over a liquid foundation, it isn't so bad. But I can't use it solely as a foundation, therefore it wasn't worth the price and I won't be buying it again.

This is my first mac purchase and I really love it. I've waited 2 weeks to post this to see if it made me break-out (which I'm very prone to do) but so far it hasn't! In fact my skin has been better than ever, although that's almost certainly just a coincidence... From reading all the other comments on this I guess you just have to try it and see what happens. The coverage isn't as thick as I'm used to, but it looks really nice and natural for day-to-day wear, and I've been using it on top of liquid foundation for nights out, which looks fab! I have combination skin so it's great for hiding the shine I get on my nose. especially if I apply it with a foundation brush. The only criticism I can think of is that it probably wouldn't look good on dry skin, I have some dry patches around my eyebrows and I have to blend it in more in those areas. Oh and also the price but I guess that's the same with all mac products!

The coverage is great. The break outs, not so great...I should take it back, but it's the perfect colour and covers everything. Maybe if I exfoliate my skin more it'll help the clogged pores i get from this stuff. I'm still on the fence about this product.

I'm going to have to agree with Love Always Ivy almost exactly. I LOVE the coverage I get with SFP, but I turn into an oil slick and basically have to re-do my face halfway thru the day, as SFP doesn't touch-up well. I was also having some really bad skin issues, but I was stuck on the SFP for so long, it may have been that the entire time and I was just too dense to realize it. In addition to failing to keep the oil at bay, the color definitely changes and "orangidizes" as time progresses. Blech.

Would you buy this product again? Nope.

Studio Fix offers really good coverage (almost no need for concealer), but what really ruins this foundation is how, pretty much seemingly universally, it breaks everyone out. Normally, makeup doesn't ever break me out, and I thought that was the case with Studio Fix. As I started to use it more though, it was pretty clear Studio Fix was breaking me out, so I stopped. Unfortunate, really. I gave it another try, and still was breaking out. Almost never needed to touch up too.

I really like how its sits on my face. Perfect for summer. But it breaks me out too. I have to return it and try something else.

I bought this by mistake, but tried it anyway. I have combo skin, and this didn't break me out. It does need touch ups during the summer time, but not extensively. It goes on quick and covers pretty well.

I have never been a fan of powder foundations, but I was so tired of having to use so many products on my face to get good coverage that I decided to give it another go. I have been using this for 2 weeks now, and have had no breakouts as of yet, and I love the coverage I get. Of course I religiously wash my face, tone, apply astringent and moisturize before I put it on in the morning and before I go to bed at night. Definitely a favorite!

I have to admit, I thought that I was past the point where using makeup products would break me out, but I guess I was wrong. After using this product for about a week, my skin started to breakout a little bit. I assumed it was stress/hormonal, and made sure to stay hydrated, get more sleep, and do my entire cleansing/toning routine every morning and night without fail. Unfortunately, none of this helped, so I've had to quit using Studiofix. Its a darn shame because I spent good money on it, and because it did make my skin look so pretty. But, as I told my husband, "If using it creates a problem, and I put more of it on to hide the problem, all I've made is a ridiculously huge problem."

I love StudioFix Powder! I've gone through about 3 compacts of it so far... hehe ;D My favourite thing about it is how you can build up the coverage (which is excellent) The only thing I don't like it that it tends to oxidize sometimes around my nose (I have oily skin there) which is irritating but it's nothing a touch up can't fix.

I thought this would be perfect for summer. After a week of use I started to get major breakouts. I thought it was just my skin with it being summer and I changed to a liquid foundation by MAC and my skin cleared up and no breakouts.
