Primer: Prep+Prime Face
Overall Rating: 5
Price:5 (good value, a little goes a long way plus you'll go through your foundation slower)
Packaging:5 (black glitter...need I say more)

The skin primer is by far the best product in the Prep+Prime line. Use it after you moisturizer and prior to foundation. It will minimize redness and improve the overall texture of your skin. Your foundation will glide on smoothly and you'll need so much less of it. This product is particularly useful combined with the SPF foundation which has a habit of drying quickly. When the SPF foundation is used with the primer it is so much more pliable. There is light reflecting pigments that make your skin appear luminescent (subtle but nice).

I have to agree with Doe - this is simply a wonderful product. I swear that it leaves my face like a baby's bottom - with a powdery soft finish that lets my GA foundation glide evenly over. Unlike other primers, P&P is immediately absorbed and isn't like a slick on your face. I recommend this product strongly and the results speak for themselves.

At first I fell in love with this product- it was brilliant, minimised the looks of my pores, controlled the oil on my face, made my studio fix sit on my face PERFECTLY ALL DAY!!! But now... well... I no longer love it, after about a week of using it, I thought I'd be realistic and took it back.

I cant stand the shimmer, although it's not too obvious at first... when the sun is shining on your face... my face looked as if I was in a glitter fight with a 6 year old- definately not my favourite look lol! Not only that, I'm sure that the shimmery stuff made me break out I havent had spots on my nose for such a long time now, but since useing the P&P skin... the spots have returned (and its not like anything else has changed with my makeup routine).

I do love the packaging though, it comes in a little cyclindrical tube with a pump, which made it really easy to apply.

I loev this primer. it is very silky but doesn't have that dry yet oily at the same time silicone feel that many primers have. It also has slight luminescence to it.. very nice. I use it in all my photoshoots and whenever I am doing a makeup. It makes a huge difference in the foundation! The bottle is completely gorgeous too.. and it's priced very reasonably.

This is my favorite primer, it goes on really silky and almost powder like. Once it's on the only way you know it's there is how smooth your face feels and is a god-send under foundation. Tha packaging is SOOO cute and should become the new mac packaging for everything. I love the glitter that catches the light and I love the price too! This is def. a must-have.

It was nice at first because it made my foundation go on like a dream. However, I became excessively greasy a few hours later. I usually get some shine half way through the day which I get rid of with blot sheets. But this was twice as bad and ultimately led to major breakout-age. So I'll use what I have left, but I wouldn't buy it again.

I hear the word Primer and I run for the hills. Overpriced, silcone based products that just kinda sit on your face for a quick fix, right?

Not this Primer. It feels silky but not greasy. It applies like butter and doesn't make my face feel as if I smeared vaseline over my moisturizer. My studio Fix applies like a dream with this Primer and it saves me the step of using Fix + after application because my skin doesnt look in the least bit chalky or too matter.

My only issue is that I am not the biggest fan of applicator pumps. It is harder to control the release of product.

Two enthusiastic thumbs up for this primer!

I really just can't stand pumps, It is sooo hard to control the release of the primer. Plus I wasnt a fan of the shimmer...And what freaked me out was when my friend (who wouldnt wear makeup to save her life) used it. She broke out in about 20mins!!!

Would you buy this product again? Maybe.

I'm not to sure if this product is drying my skin out, if I use it more than a couple of days in a row my skin seem to get really flaky.
I do love the packaging and the fact that the product is slightly shimmery.

Would you buy this product again? I'd probably steal my mothers again.

I love the texture of this and the bottle is so cute. It seems to work very well on people with non oily/combo skin really. Unfortunately on me it sometimes makes me breakout and/or have dry patches, which sucks. I still use it very occansionally and very little when I really want to.

I've given this a second try this week and I am sad to say it just does not work with me. I first tried this when it first came out in the US. It was fantastic for the first two or three days. But after that my skin started breaking out and becoming dry and I didn't know why. I stopped using it and gave it to my sister and allowed my skin to clear up. I bought a second time last weekend and the break outs and dry skin started again.

I wish I could use this product since it creates a nice smooth canvas for foundation and it has some glimmer in it. The packaging is fantastic (I love pump applicators) too. The price is also great considering you get more product than the Smashbox primer for a cheaper price. Sadly, I can't use this product and will return to using Smashbox's primer.

I absolutely love this. It goes on so smoothly, has a great subtle shimmer, foundation just glides on and then doesn't budge all day! I have repurchased three times now. I actually like the pump applicator it seems to deliver the amount that I like

Comments: I use this product everytime I wear foundation. It makes your skin smooth but not greasy feeling. I like this more than the smashbox primer I used to use and it doesnt make me breakout like the smashbox one did.

Comments: I just bought this a few days ago, and I found that while it does make my skin smooth, it make it probably too smooth for my makeup to stay on, which defeats the purpose of a base My skin also became rather oily only 2 hours after application, and I was in an air-conditioned room! Maybe I will use this when I am going bare-faced or something. For now I'm leaving it with my mum who wants to try it out.

Comments: I love this, I'm on my second bottle!! I did think it was causing me breakouts for a while, but then I thought about how I applied it, and using a brush instead of my fingers has made so much of a difference!!
A little goes a long way, and it keeps my foundation on my face so much better. Studio Fix goes on so much more easily on top of this!

I love this it makes my skin feel soo smooth takes very little has glitter in the formula but only glitter that can be seen in the light not overkill in anyway also hides redness and other such things that can be hard to cover with foundation.

Buy again? Perhaps

ok, welll from looking at everybodies post, i think its ur skin type...if you have oily skin, it will probley make it too oily(make sure u use a make up removing wash or exfoliator before hand) if your skin gets dry then put on a moisturizer, then apply the primer...i do both, and my pores look gone and my skin is very soft...

This was like a dream come true for me. I've always had problems with my combination skin and foundations because my nose and cheeks tend to get dry and the foundation settles in, making those areas flakey. I've used this primer for the past few days and I've had absolutely NO problems with flaking and my makeup stays in place all day long. I apply it with #190 after my moisturizer and before my foundation and it glides on very smoothly with little product needed at all - one gentle pump is enough for me. I'm very happy that I purchased this.

This product does a really great job covering my pores before my foundation application. It also helps with the oil control.

my first primer from mac and i love it. I like how smooth it feels on the skin and how it glides on when u apply it. Not too sure about in improving the staying power of my make up as i usually use make up for 3-4 hours only.

so i tested it now like a week....and i dont like it at all..i put pp only on one half of my face to test it out and compare it to the other half that only has moisturizer, foundation and msfn ...the only thing it does, is that my skin feels smoother and its easier to aply my make up...nothing else...for me its not worth to pay so much money...
