Can anyone tell me if Gold Stroke is dupable? It sounds like my kind of color but if I can get my hands on something cheaper I wouldn't complain

Ahhh.
I'm going to the event at Oak St. on Thursday with my sister. Hopefully this stuff impresses me (except in the case of my pocket, which wishes quite the opposite.)

Awww. I wish I could go... really I do. Lol. I work Mon-Fri 8am-4pm so it's hard for me to get somewhere and then have to be home at 9pm to sleep.
I feel the pain of the wallet as well. I'm spending WAYYYY too much this holiday. I love royal stuff though, so this collection has me by the female-testes.

Does anybody know if Engaging is dupe-able? It looks really pretty but I have a feeling I have 5620046 similar colors. I can't decide if I want it or not!

Without an acutal side by side comparison, it reminded me of Shimmertime Pigment and Amber Lights e/s

Well that settles it for me. I was hoping the pink was sort of like Petticoat (because that's what I was reminded of looking at pictures) but since I own Shimmertime and I don't *really* need another gold, I guess I'm all good.
Now, earthly riches and family silver - I hope I won't regret not purchasing those...

From what I've seen, Thrills is a bit more rusty red than Antiquitease, which has a stronger brown tone IMO.

I don't know if it hasn't already been posted, but I hadn't seen this promo-pic yet. Sorry for the poor quality!

What time is the event at the Oak street store? I'm sort of going to be in the area tomorrow evening.

12-6 I think, I'm going at 3 today.
I've never been to an event, I'm honestly not sure what to expect. Anyone know what I should expect? heh...

Arrg. I won't make it to the event. The Oak Street MAC store closes at 7, doesn't it? If so, I'll have to go to Nordstrom. If you go, will you share details on the event?

w00t! I got my haul today
All 5 MES's
Queen's Sin Lipstick
Her Fancy Lipstick (BTW, this is a GLAZE lipstick, not a frost.) or at least my package tells me so.
And the white nailpolish. This stuff is WHITE WHITE. Two coats and it's whiter than my walls
I will post pics and swatches later.

I was interested in Family Silver but it's way too frosty for my tastes. I'm loving Queen's Sin, Red Romp and Budding Lust though!

Queen's Sin is GORGEOUS. I hate red lipsticks, but this one was so pretty I couldn't bear to let it sit in the drawer and not be used by anyone but me
I posted my swatchhhhessssss.

Will do...
Overall, it seemed like an ordinary day in the MAC store. The MA's were for the most part, all sporting the new colors (and McQueen colors.)
As far as my sister's makeover goes, well...the MUA told her she had eczema on her lids, which is bizarre. She did a nice job though, except she used WAY too much bronzer on her-then again, a couple of the other MUAs there seemed to think the whole "Punched in the Cheek" look was cute.
I swatched the shadows, and the only thing that showed up on my pale ass, er, hand was Mi'Lady and the golden shade of Engaging. Gorgeous in the pot, too flaky and frosty to buy. The lippies however were stunning.
Queen's Sin + Majestic = LE SEX
It was a pleasant afternoon all in all, nothing spectacular or mindblowing. A relief for my wallet.
If it's true about the store going PRO next year though, we can only pray...

Yeah, we noticed a couple of them sporting the new necklaces. They're cute.
Thanks for your swatches by the way.
I'm telling you, Queen's Sin and Majestic are the barmb together.

It's just rumor, but legend has it that Oak St. may be turning PRO by April.
