I am ALL over the coral and plum sets! Of course I need more lip products like I need a hole in the head, but like that will stop me.

I like the tan but that dark one looks VERY dark. Has anyone seen this or know if it's sheer or really that dark? The coral is really pretty also. I can't wear pinks but I'm going to get that for my daughter-in-law.

You and me both. Too brown or too purple and I look like I need oxygen. I look asphyxiated.

These look soooo pretty!! I have never bought any of the Christmas collection stuff before because the combinations usually don't appeal to me. But the pink & coral ones look so nice. The pink Lustre l/s does look reallly sparkly though, not sure if I like that. Will have to check these out in person.

Re: Antiquitease: Finery November 21st '07 Discussion
OK well I went by MAC today and these had already arrived with all the other holiday stuff in Switzerland.
I was disappointed by these lip products. First of all, they are really expensive here in Switzerland ($61 USD - how much are they in the States??) and the lipsticks all seemed pretty darn glittery, which I loathe. The pink ones hardly had any colour pay-off, they looked a lot nicer than they wore.
So I ended up buying some other stuff. I bought the goldish Fluidliner and the red lipglass from the main displayer collection, and a lipliner from the perm. line. Ah well.

They're going to be $32 USD.
Thanks for the warning. I was going to get the pink, but may decide on the plum instead. I noticed the brushes in the Royal Assets lip palettes aren't as nice as in the past, they almost seem synthetic. The hairs keep coming out and getting stuck in the pans.

I'm just biding my time until these come out. I'm gonna be all over the coral one. According to the staff here, they'll be for sale at the Buffalo counter on the 15th.

Why is it up on the MAC web site for so long without being available to buy?

Re: Antiquitease: Finery November 21st '07 Discussion
GAH - I went to a MAC store and a counter and neither said they had Finery in yet. Well, neither of them even knew what I was asking for. I said "Do have the Finery lip sets in yet? Even just to see the colors?" and all I got back were blank stares. It is killing me to wait another 3 days! Arrrg!

Re: Antiquitease: Finery November 21st '07 Discussion
I went to the store to take a look at these sets yesterday - I was mainly interested in Pink and Coral. Here's my summary, I am purchasing the Pink bag, the Coral was sold out at my counter, but Ruling Class put me off because it was so dark.
The pink set is just gorgeous - the gloss (Gentility) is a sheer golden color which seemed a little out of place in this set (to me, there wasn't any pink in it, but I didn't swatch it so I can't say for sure) but I think it could look good over the lipsticks. Both lippies are frosty and glittery and definitely on the cooler side (as mentioned in previous posts) but the colors are great - nothing too overpowering. I think lara's pics are very accurate in showing the colors. Snob Appeal, the lighter of the two, is a mid-tone pink and Blue Blood is a gorgeous watermelon pink.
As for coral, I loved the gloss (Splendid) - it's a very pretty peachy pink and I wish this was in the pink set instead. The lighter shade of lipstick (Astro Chic) looked quite nice - once again, nothing too strong, just a sheer wash of color, but the darker shade (Ruling Class) was too dark for me, it was more of a bronzey color than a coral.

I ordered the Plum set. I think Coral looks gorgeous but I'm a coral freak and have so many coral lip products already that I just couldn't justify it.

Re: Antiquitease: Finery November 21st '07 Discussion
I went to the MAC counter on Wednesday to get a couple sets of the Finery collection and was in for a surprise. After my girlfriends and I got some b2m, I asked for the Pink and Tan lip bags, and was asked for my name. To make a long story short, I was asked for my name twice by two different MAs and told that it could not be sold to me. The 2nd MA spilled the beans and said that some guys came and purchased all 4 sets and was told not to sell it to me. HOW SWEET!
And as if I couldn't be more surprised, he made sure to get there before I could get them (I went to lunch with my gfs) the MA told me he was there and they didn't even have the display up! but they couldn't understand what "little bags with lipstick" was. hehe.
Anyways, I LOVE the pink lips, especially the blueblood. I love the tan. My least favorite is Plum, I'm not a dark lip person.

Re: Antiquitease: Finery November 21st '07 Discussion
My plums just came and I love them. The "dark" one is not too dark at all, at least for me, and it's gorgeous! The lighter one is too. Both of them really make my eyes look greener, which is what I love about plum lip products. The lipgloss is nice too, though nothing to get as excited about as the lipsticks. All in all, I'm a happy camper!

Got my Coral & Pink finery sets today....GORGEOUS! Like some of the above comments - I LOVED the Pink set especially the Blue Blood & Splendid lipglass from the coral set...really, really pretty! Even the darker more frosty shades that I thought I would not care for, looked very pretty on!
