You know what, that REALLY REALLY looks like her. It would be awesome if she was the face of this collection, she would do it so well. She's really the only runway model I like... because she just "POPS!" out at you.
Sigh. I gotta save up more though... because if they make this collection like last Christmas... I will HAVE to buy everything.

Re: Antiquitease, Stylistics Holiday '07 Discussion
Omg that all looks freakin amazing /*insert jaw drop. I thought I was all MAC'd out after C-Shock, Flashtronic, Rushmetal, Painterly, Smoke Signals AND Blue Storm but now I had to go look at this thread and get all excited again.
MAC is seriously like the mafia. You think you are out but they keep pulling you back in lol...

That's so true, it's scary. I only just started buying MAC, and already I'm doing the "what's the next thing going to be, because I need to know how much money to save" thing.

Re: Antiquitease, Stylistics Holiday '07 Discussion
Honestly, I'm not into the holiday stuff usually. I'll be more on the lookout for brush sets, possibly a few eyeshadows, and of course the holiday skinfinish releases. Smoke Signals and Blue Storm left me eh. I'm excited about Alexander McQueen, but I'm afraid it's going to be like SS was with quite a lot of anticipation and not meeting expectations.
I like pretty packaging as much as the next girl, I really do. But more than pretty packaging, I like functionality.
Quality, well pigmented eyeshadows, a true range of colors in varying finishes, pigments that actually have some color payoff and stick to the skin whether there's a base or not, skinfinishes that aren't all glitter and chunky pieces, mascara that doesn't make my lashes look and feel like ook, LATEX FREE LASH ADHESIVE (I know you're reading this MAC, I ain't even playin'), skinfinishes with some actual color payoff instead of having to layer them on and deal with the shininess of them, and brush sets that don't cost my first born child + a kidney and a half and are at least 90% the same quality as the regular brushes would all be nice.

Re: Antiquitease, Stylistics Holiday '07 Discussion
I am looking forward to this but as Shimmer said I hope they have some really nice colour combos in the palettes. Last years was alright but I won't get a palette if I can't use atleast 4 of the colours. I would love some new MSFs and pigments. The packaging looks beautiful though. Can't wait to see what MAC is giving us this xmas.

The man standing at the podium (in the video) was Gordon Espinet...hes MAC's head artist, but I believe he had a different "official" title. He was here in norfolk not too long ago...nordstrom had an event...ugh, I wish I could have been there

The only line I've found thus far with LFLA is Vincent Longo. :/

Ardell do a latex free lash adhesive, it comes in clear and black, but it smells a bit strong on the alcohol

I just had a look and there are 2 types of Ardell adhesive, one is called LashGrip which is the one that is latex based, and the other one which is alcohol based is called LashTite adhesive. The LashTite is in a small little vial and is completely clear.
Check out this site, it has a pic of the both of them.

Also the blue used in the video... maybe parrot that was said to be coming back???

This is going to be the colection that will be released in October like Nocturnelle last year??
Can anyone else see what's under the pigments?? I think I saw jar pots like paint pots or fluidliners at the video but I'm not so sure, and under the lipsticks are nail polishes??

Antiquitease, Stylistics Holiday '07 : details
source
here's the summary of what we can expect:
- MAC’s Stylistics wont hit counters until November 29th
- This is a total couture collection with gem-encrusted compacts and luxurious powders
- The price point is high for MAC but when you want the “It” collection, you know you may have to pay a higher price.
- bottle looks like a teardrop and is hand-blown in Murano, Italy.
- fragrance is a “baroque floral.” The notes are topped with red dates, wild red peonies, and island cypress and white pepper, a center of tuberose absolute, orange blossom, jasmine, ylang-ylang and orris, and then you dry down to the leather rear woods, vetiver, tonka beans and amber crystals.
- The collection is only going to be available MAC stores, Henri Bendel, Saks Fifth Avenue, and select Nordstrom locations, a total 175 locations.

Re: Antiquitease, Stylistics Holiday '07 Discussion
... just made a scary calculation
3000 bottles of the new super limited edition scent... available in just 175 stores...
that means just 17 bottles per store..

I know! I've thought that too, like is there a charge card around here so I can get everything I want? But I suppose it's good that there isn't, or we might be in a mountain of debt.

I think you are right, they look like they are lying horizontally on the display (like Paint Pots) and not in the display with pigments. Plus it looks like a nail polish on one side, and I would assume another one would be on the other.
Specktra = The Speculation Experts
P.S - And am I the only one who thinks those MES look like a combination of swirls and duos, like Amuse and Flastronic in one???
I wondered what they were going to do next as far as the MES were concerned...
