That's what I thought as well. I like Kim, I think she is beautiful, but the ICON collection always means more than just superficial beauty. It's about strong powerful, beautiful women that are timeless, who have a cause in this world. I was so glad they chose Raquel last year. I really like her alot (even if I wasn't the biggest fan of the actual collection).

When I think of icons, I think of individuals that have actually done something, so I wouldn't think Kim Kardashian would be considered in this category. I mean, even if the individual is younger, that person should still be at least comparable to the likes of the previous icons. And for this reason, i wouldn't think someone really young could or should be considered an icon.

I would truly be surprised if it were Paris, Fergie, Kim K or anyone of the like. Paris is way too pedestrian.
The Icon collection has a trend of celebrating older women who have lived a full life and made some waves. Women who have had time to make some history and impressions.

But what "young" means to 20-somethings is different than what "young" means to 40- or 50-somethings. And considering the last couple of Icons have been in their 60s, or so, it could very well be someone in their 30s to early 40s. That's still young compared to 60.

Great minds think alike!  I'm just racking my brain here trying to think of people in 30-40ish age range that would fit MAC's bill. Plus, if it were someone like Kim or Paris, I doubt your co-worker would've forgotten that so easily. So it must be someone famous (obviously, lol) but not really in the news everyday.
