Re: MAC - Baby Blooms Discussion
$38 ?! It's too much. I just ordered a Korres Set from Sephora including base( small size ), tinted moisturizer ( full size ) and SPF 30 Face Cream ( full size ) and it was just 30$!

$38 does sound like a lot.. but for the sake of comparison Laura Mercier has one that sells for $42, and Stila's is $34..

Re: MAC - Baby Blooms Discussion
I have a hard time believing it's $38 USD. Probably more like $28. The previous ones were $26 so I can't believe they would have a $12 price hike.

I'd love to try those Tendertones...I really hope they're not sticky, I can't stand sticky lip stuff. Were the older ones sticky?
Also, got a question for anyone who might know--what kind of sunscreen is in it that gives it the SPF? Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Avobenzone...?

Re: MAC - Baby Blooms Discussion
I really want the tinted moisturizer, but $38 CDN is a bit steep compared to $29.50 USD. These are gonna be permanent right? Might as well wait until I make a trip to the States since the Canadian dollar is getting stronger.
I'll still get a sun tint here though, since they're LE

Ooo tendertones in a tube. That sounds wonderful. Hmm I think I am going to break out my tendertones since I haven't used them in a while.

I don't know anything about the ingredients but the older ones weren't sticky at all.

Re: MAC - Baby Blooms Discussion
I think I might have to check out the tinted moisturizers. I wanted to get the Laura Mercier one but the Sephora MA couldn't seem to find one that matched my skin closely enough. I'm a little nervous about trying another MAC face product since their foundation broke me out and was really orangey on me.

Re: MAC - Baby Blooms Discussion
I'm passing on the tinted moisturizers because MAC's track record for foundations is less than great. I have yet to find one that works for me, but that's why I have MUFE, heh.
The tinted lip thingies would interest me except for two reasons: 1) I need another lipgloss like a hole in the head. 2) it's 2/3 the product for the same price (10 ml vs 15 ml in the lip gelees and tube of lip conditioner).

Re: MAC - Baby Blooms Discussion
The tinted moisturizers are perm so I can wait on those...and get more LE products. The lippies sound nice I may get 1-2 or none since I have too many lip products already. They really have to be unique or special for me to get at this point until I use up some of what I have and b2m.

Re: MAC - Baby Blooms Discussion
Erine, did you get to see these? If you did I'm wondering what you thought of the TM and what the scent was on the Suntints -- is it the tendertone one or vanilla? What was the texture like?

SPF is not made by a chemical - it is more like a rate. Hats and light dresses have a SPF too. //
The SPF indicates the time a person with sunscreen applied can be exposed to sunlight before getting sunburn relative to the time a person without sunscreen can be exposed. This assumes constant solar intensity over the time period. [8] On any day, someone who would burn after 12 minutes in the sun would expect to burn after 120 minutes if protected by a sunscreen with SPF 10, using the American system, or SPF 5, using the European system. In practice, the protection from a particular sunscreen depends on factors such as: - The skin type of the user.
- The amount applied and frequency of re-application.
- Activities in which one engages (for example, swimming leads to a loss of sunscreen from the skin).
- Amount of sunscreen the skin has absorbed.

for the tendertones-octinoxate, octisalate, avobenzone. titanium dioxide was used as a pigment.
for the suntints-octinoxate, octisalate, avobenzone, homosalate, and octocrylene. again, titanium dioxide was used as a pigment.

these might work for you cause they aren't a foundation. they base of the product is a skincare, so unless mac's skincare causes reactions as well, it might work for ya.

i honestly can't remember what they smelled liked, but vanilla is not an ingredient.

Re: MAC - Baby Blooms Discussion
I was going to skip this, but I have no lip products with SPF, and I really could use a tinted moisturizer, so maybe I will be picking up one of each.
