News of this year's Nordstrom's anniversary collection has surfaced here. So let's start scratching up some gossip and info. Shall we?

I'm sorry for so dumb a question (this is my first Nordies anniversary collection ), but are the Advanced Brush Sets the same every year, or is this a new thing?

for some reason the nordies collections are always so exciting to me. the colors are often repromotes, but they quickly become staples for me!

I dont mean to sound dumb but is this only available in stores and not online?

I hope this collection has colors I like! Last year I only liked the Cool Eyes, and the Cool Pearlizer.

they mix em up a bit every year. the basic set is usually the same, but the others are different (with some that are the same).

If I am not gifted with some makeup brushes for my birthday, I might be getting the brush sets. Nordstrom does so many GWP's that are insane for the anniversary sale-a HUGE Estee one, a big Lancome, you name it. I'm not usually an eye palette girl...I prefer singles, but if they have some good ones it might be worth a look.

Thankfully the Nordie's sale is after the Neo Sci-Fi and Cool Heat, so I will have time to recover.

is this kinda the same thing as novel twist was last year? just wondering b/c novel twist was Nordstrom's exclusive but was available up here in Canada at our Bay department stores.

But we don't get all Nordies exclusives....

yes. nordies get this type of thing every year in july. it corresponds with their yearly sale. the reason they get a special collection of gift sets is cause they were the first department store to carry mac, so its something mac and nordies do together.

i hope the packaging is really nice. i was so in love with antiquitease. good thing it's in july, i have time to save up a bit. i don't know about brush sets though, i love full sizes but you never know if they come up with great packaging, i might change my mind.

This is what I call a "specktra-day" today!! So many amazing news on just one day - I am so excited.

I have been going to the Nordstrom Anniversay for the past 3 years and always enjoy seeing all their LE merchandise. It seems like the MAC collection is going to be smaller this year (good news for my wallet).

My brushes from last year are falling apart, I hope that they are not made the same way (the paint on the handles is cracking).

I loved my face brush set from Christmas time they are so soft. I would love to get a 2nd one. I hope the handles are pink or maybe white or just something fun!

yay! I always buy whatever my daughter-in-law wants from the Nordies collections & then somethin for myself plus I always have to get the brush set with the 187 short handle - I can't seem to have enough of that brush

well i wont be getting ANY brush sets no more... i cant beleive i was desperate for the christmas ones, i didnt realise how crap they are compared to normal mac brushes... if you want good quality brushes dont bother with the brush sets.. i wasted £48 on 2 sets and i dont like any of them

Really?! I love the holiday 07 face brush set. They are all soo soft and don't shed. I use the 187 se almost everyday and the 190 se foundation brush daily with no problems and they are so super soft.I like my regular brushes better but that's only because I love the long handles

We got Noveltwist last year here at our "normal" MAC counters. So I hope we will get Color Forms as well!
