Re: MAC - Cremesheen Discussion
Picked up Creme d'Nude yesterday when I was out. I have to admit, I was initially hesitant because I tried it on while I was there but I wasn't exactly sure how it'd look if I wore it for longer than a couple of minutes.
Creme d'Nude is now my HG lipstick and I can't be more thrilled that it's permanent! I'm always doing nude lips but I prefer more opaque coverage than a lustre or glaze finish, and I don't quite like the excess of gloss in the lipglass lines. Cremesheen is probably the most perfect happy medium, literally. The coverage is probably medium, because my lip color is still a tiny bit visible, but only slightly, and the sheen it leaves is just right.
I swear, I have to get more, but since it's permanent, I can spread it out over time.

Sure thing! I picked up Brave Red, Ravishing, Speed Dial, On Hold and Speak Louder. Ravishing was a pleasant surprise. It's nice to find a flat, cream, pigmented peach. Most have shimmer or are too sheer.
Next on the list: Creme d'Nude and Dare You. The only one I don't really want is Stay in Touch. I don't think it will do much for me.

Me too. The paler the better. And Creme De Nude was just too beige, but I think I'm going to go back and try it again.

Re: MAC - Cremesheen Discussion
I went to check these out today & I love Creme De Nude & Fanfare (I'm NW15) they are both gorgeous. Speed dial was a bit too bright on me. However, Creme De Nude comes off kind of like a lustre to me... it's not nearly as opaque as the others and it is practically exactly the same as my 2N l/s which is great cause I love that one & now will be able to buy another similar shade when I run out.
I did B2M for Fanfare because I thought it was very unique and corally but wearable. I'd describe the cremesheens as a lustre with a matte coverage (if that makes any sense).. ie they look glossy like a lustre and moisterize like one, but have the thick/opaqueness of a matte.

Re: MAC - Cremesheen Discussion
I wore Lure with Ravishing and Fulfilled all day today. It lasted FOREVER. Mind you I don't lick my lips or rub them together often (at all), but usually my lips get like... crusty/gross, eneven, etc. But this stayed perfect for like 3 hours until I ate. Then i reapplied and it was perfect for hours again.

I bought Hot Gossip and loving it! Fanfare was too corally for me, this was what I had in mind about what shade to get.

Re: MAC - Cremesheen Discussion
I got Creme d'Nude and I must say that I LOVE it!!!! It is gorgeous!!! I also want Modesty, but decided to wait since they are permanent. A few of the reds were pretty too. I'm sure I'll end up owning most of them ;-)

Re: MAC - Cremesheen Discussion
How does Creme d'Nude compare with Masque and Archetype? I'm hoping it leans towards Archetype b/c I have Masque. *please please...*

Creme d'nude is much much paler than masque. Iirc, archetype had golden tones to it so it doesn't really compare.

My MA said these are combination of the Lustres and Amplified Creams, so that could be why they come of as slightly lustre-ish. I felt the same way about Cd'N it's a beautiful color, I think it doesn't make one look quite as deathly as Myth/Fleshpot looks alone.

Booo, that sucks! The MA I asked said it was closer to Archetype. I'm glad I came here for confirmation tho. Thanks Adina!

Re: MAC - Cremesheen Discussion
I LOOOOOOOOOOVE Creme de Nude! It's such an amazing color, and I'm thanking my lucky stars that they're perm, because I would have had to buy like a baker's dozen of backups
I'm thinking I might grab Fanfare as well, but I'm not in a super-rush...or should I be?!?**
