I had a dream again... I will have my final examinations in November. After that I will be allowed to teach on my own. In my dream I wore a red pullover on that day and a red l/s from CoC.

What's maddening is that I've been devoting my energy to figuring out my Overrich wishlist, removing pigments, putting them back on, etc., etc.

Which lipliner would go with Bing! and which one with Kirsch?
Im NW20 for reference, I would prefer a creamstick lipliner but I am open to using a pencil if the color is perfect

I got my Cult of Cherry l/g today!!! Its totally GORGEOUS!!! I put some swatches in the CoC swatch thread. And compared it to Red Romp. They are definitley different. I find CoC to be more of a truer red color & RR has more sparkles/shimmer in it.

Unfortunately, I didn't make it to the Pro store this morning. (you can thank cramps for that!)

But so far on my list I have:

1. Cult of Cherry l/g
2. Jampacked l/g
3. Cherry Blossom l/g
4. Rich & Ripe l/g
5. Spiced Chocolate quad
6. Tempting quad
7. So Scarlet l/s especially since its an AMPLIFIED CREME

I am still a lil scurred of the mattenes. I might get Rapturous if anything. But I do want to be daring and get the really dark ones. I never had a Mattene before, so this will be new if I go and buy it. And I was contemplating and battling with getting or not getting the Shadowy Lady quad. But I can see myself being pissed off with the texture and color of the Shadowy Lady e/s (and I already have Deep Truth and it's sister Blue Flame), so I said yes to self-control and passed. I so proud!!

I'm still pissed that wonderful my cousin Flow totally ruined my plans to go the pro store this morning. I would have had swatches and everything. I will go tomorrow I guess.....I hope what I want is still there.

I can't wait to see this collection IRL, but since I won't be near a counter for 2 more weeks, I think I'm going to get at least the Tempting quad online, then I will wait for perhaps the Shadowy Lady quad, 2 mattenes, Blooming blush and who freaking knows once I see the l/s and l/g - I will prob end up with all of them! This is my last big collection for a while (aka one month- how will i live?)!

Okay, after mulling over the swatches I think this is my final list:
Cult of Cherry lipglass X2 - this sounds like the elusive Cherry red lipglass I've been looking for forever.
Jam Packed lipglass - I don't have a deep plum lipglass in my collection. Plus who can resist jam?
Rich and Ripe lipglass - Looks like a warm red that would look awesome with some of my yellow-based red lippies.
So Scarlet Lipstick - nuff said
Spiced Chocolate quad - too pretty to skip and they look like such an easy collection of colors to work with.
and maybe Kirsch or Bing, but I need to see them in person first.

Did I mention how much I love this collection?

Can anyone explain the difference between Kirsch and Bing mattenes? (if you saw them in person..)

I saw swatches.. and I see a difference, but I think I can only get one of them...

Does anyone think ones prettier over the other?

I think Kirsh is less severe of a color. Bing is darker & deeper IMO
I have Bing & I think Kirsh is very pretty, but I think I can get the same effect by using a lighter hand with Bing

Yeah, I've been thinking about it all day and I have come to the conclusion that dreaming about the Spiced Chocolate Quad two nights in a row has to be sign. It's just too beautiful to not buy it. I'm going to skip the tempting quad though and just do the SC and Illegal Purple.

Yay! I'm set in this decision. I definitely want a red lip too but I'm going to get Red Flame lustre for that because I don't like lip products that don't last all day, especially darker ones!

I'm so excited for Tuesdayyyy. I keep forgetting that I get to order Overrich pigments the same day too!

In my opinion though so scarlet is not as bright and is a bit cooler than port red. The finishes also make a huge difference as there is no frostiness to so scarlet.

As an nw20, kirsch was the most wearable to me. Kirsch has a reddish base while bing is more purple

Thanks so much girls... I really wanted kirsch... but now I'm thinking of maybe just getting bing. I can try what you said jenntoz, using a lighter hand if I don't always want something dark.

OT, but..
I bought the new urban decay lipstick in apocalypse (the new dark shade used on Sephora's website and cover look) and I LOVE the shade, but it is caramel scented... and tastes like it too. I don't know why but caramel like that makes me sick. I can eat it in some candies, but that's it. So I have to take it back this week.

I really want bing or kirsch though... I've been dreaming of them... and CoC l/g. Can't wait to get them.

This thread is just full of enablers. Since reading this thread I want the shadowy lady quad, lightly ripe l/s, CoC l/g, bing or kirsch or maybe both, and possibly the chocolate quad. :P

Oh, and now I have to get some OPI nail polish because of elegant-one. (that one shade is sooo pretty though!) Thanks girls!

WHY WHY WHY do I want 85% of the lippies in this collection? I SO want to be comfortable in darker lips. I love the look, especially for fall. Usually the desire for darker lippies in collections isn't there, but not with this collection. Maybe it's cause for the first time since I got into MAC, I will be spending fall at home in Pennsylvania where fall actually means darker colors, colder weather, and comfy sweaters and jeans, unlike Florida Ok girls, be brutally honest, can I pull off any of the following:

-Rapturous Mattene
-So Scarlet l/s
-Jampacked l/g
-Cult of Cherry l/g
-Rich and Ripe l/g

Audrey, I really think you should at least try coc lipglass and so scarlet l/s. The lg is a great intro and once you are comfy you can amp it up with the so scarlet ls

I discovered if I put my mattene over a tendertone the result is beautiful! Also its much easier to apply only a small amount that way

Girl, you can pull ANY of those off!! You just have to get comfortable doing so.

When I got a makeover by my fave MA at the Antiquitease event last holiday, she used Classic Dame mattene with Red Romp lipglass on me... and I felt so awkward walking out of there with bright red lips. I kept telling her that the whole time & she said, "You just have to wear them with confidence!"

Lets just say that opened up a whole new door in the makeup world for me. I don't rock the red lips or the dark lips all the time, but when I do, I feel a little empowered... There is just something so sexy & feminine about red lips, like I am woman, hear me roar!! Hehe
