Re: Dazzleglass Discussion
lol... i'm pathetic, but reading this thread is making me unnecessarily angry at mac for charging so much for so little product. i think i'm just trying to release the anger i built up for having to walk for an hour after midnight in downtown toronto (toronto transit commission gave us a 1 hour notice before going on strike at midnight)

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion
I was curious about this weight/volume issue and asked Livechat. They said that there is actually more product in Dazzlegasses then Lipglasses, hence the higher price. Its just a different formula and so the weight is different. But volume wise, its actually more gloss (I hope I didn't get that backwards). Anyway, that's what they said. How long the glosses actually last for remains to be seen I guess...

Yep, I completely understand why you would be angry, and it seems like they do this every other year
I'm still not that annoyed with MAC though (TTC on the otherhand...), just because there are other products from other brands that I have spent far too much on in the past. Maybe with the small amount of product, I might actually use something up for a change. At any rate, I wasn't planning on getting more than two of these, I have enough lipglasses and generally prefer the one's with subtle shimmer, but these just look so pretty that I need a couple!

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion
I love them...I've used mine for one day and I have to say that something about them has left my lips so so so soft. The glitter doesn't seem at all chunky to me, but maybe it's exfoliating my lips a little. I have been having really bad chapped lips lately, the weather in Oregon has really been sucking, but even my hubby commented last night on how much softer my lips felt. And that's with just one day's worth of use.

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion
Well that's good to hear, because I just placed an order for Baby Sparks and Money, Honey! Anything that might actually make my lips soft will be well worth it.

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion
After hearing all this, I think I'll pass on these and probably take Audrey's suggestion and get Bountiful pl/g instead. I really use lipgloss, so it would probably only take me a matter of a couple weeks to plow through one...not worth it to me. I'd rather spend a few more bucks and invest in some pigments I've been eyeing.

I LOVE Bountiful Plushglass! It is similar to Like Venus Dazzleglass in color - a true bubblegum pink. I have gone through 3 tubes since they came out (they last while too), and I love the p/g formula. It's not super sticky, or gritty or thick like the Dazzleglass are reported to be. Not only that, but it has TONS of sparkle, and I get compliments all the time when I wear it And it helps that it is a permanent item, so if you fall in love with it like I did, you can repurchase over and over.

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion
I went to get my brows done and Nordstrom today and while I was there I had to check out Dazzleglass. I ended up getting Ms Fizz because I love anything fuschia and I have to say I am really liking it. It feels really nice on the lips and it has lasted a long time. I know I said that I would wait until the came out at the CCO but the dazzle/glitter sucked me in!

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion
I actually like the dazzleglass glosses. I ended going back and buying a bunch more. Here's a swatch of me wearing Buoy-O-Buoy lipstick with Bare Necessity d/g over it. (Taupe pencil as lip liner) It stayed on while I had a 2 hour meal and was not too glittery or gritty at all.

I'm telling ya, you girls are killing me! I am trying to resist! They look so pretty though. Pretty, glittery things are my weakness. I wish I had a money tree! I'd pick that sucker clean and buy every single one of them!

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion
Oh no! I was going to get 3, but opted to get just one after reading this & I'm so disappointed. The pics look so gorgeous, and I know I'm probably gonna love. I'll run out so soon because I use lipglass like crazy!

My mom bought me Baby Sparks today! We were both at awe at how pretty it was. Bare Necessity was pretty too!

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion
I just got Bare Necessity and it's so pretty!
Some folks might find it to be over hyped, but with Summer here... it really is the perfect thing to be wearing.
I'm NC45 for reference and BN just gave slight color with lots of shimmer. Not heavy glitter but something wearable for days and nights. I didn't even feel any gritty-ness to it, wasn't that sticky and no heavy scents.
I'm fine with purchasing just one - I think everyone should get one color, especially one of the clearer shades, and just layer it on top of another lippy product with color. Especially for those who don't want to spend the extra bucks and purchasing all the dazzleglasses.

It makes sense. I think it would make sense to label glosses by volume instead of weight. Dazzleglasses might be less dense...though I wouldn't be able to really figure out.

Yeah, its the same with other products, too. Plushglasses are .14 oz while Lipglasses are .17 oz but those are the exact same size tube (...right?)

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion
I will for sure pick one or two up. I was trying to decide between Steppin' Out and Love Alert, but I think I will be safe with picking up those two.

Now I am thinking of getting Bountiful Plushglass as well - it seems to be a good alternative to Like Venus

I picked up those exact two yesterday, you should get them both, they look A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! They're the prettiset glosses I've ever seen.
