I picked two up in person and ordered two, so I only currently have Steppin' Out and Bare Necessity. I really like them both, Steppin' Out did have a detectable amount of pink to it and my lips are quite pigmented. Money, Honey, which I'm waiting on seems to have the most colour out of the one's I chose. I need to note that i really don't go for strong colour on my lips ever! I bought Bare Necessity and Baby Sparks more to layer over lipstick. I also thought I'd want Sugar Rimmed, but when I saw this one irl, it was too much multi-coloured glitter. HTH!

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion
I was originally planning on passing on these, or only getting one. But after seeing the swatches and hearing everyone talking about them I really wanted some. It was so hard to decide on which ones but I've narrowed my choices down to 3 : Sugar rimmed, Comet Blue and Love Alert. I really hope I can get to the Mac store this weekend, for these and Naughty Nauticals.

You probably got a bad one, you should just go exchange it, you have a good reason, I'm sure the MAs won't mind.

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion
I was very surprised to see how pigmented they were. I ended up getting Love Alert, Ms. Fizz and Fantabulous. I was going to pass on all of them too, but they are just too gorgeous to pass.

I am really considering on getting Money Honey. It looks really nice, nothing like I've seen before.

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion
Personally, I love Dazzleglass! I've heard some people say it was gritty/sticky, I put a lip balm as a primer and it feels fine! It looks great when you put two Dazzleglasses on top of one another. My 10 year old sister loves it too. hahaha..

My favorite from the collection? Bare Necessity, it's neutral and an everyday color that will look good with any ls. I also got Sugarrimmed, Comet Blue, Love Alert, and Money, Honey.

I use to use Smashbox all the time but the shelf life is not good. I had to throw so many lipgloss and lipsticks away it made me cry and I have never had to do that with Mac. So I buy only Mac now!! Hopefully youll use yours up fast and you wont have that problem. Just thought I would share would let ya know!!

Could you compare how long a smashbox l/g lasts compared to MAC?
I'm kinda concerned because i do have a lot of other glosses/lipsticks that i haven't used up yet and it would be such a shame to toss them all out.

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion
I got Love alert today and it's alot better than I expected. I thought it would be glittery, but it wasn't atall it was just shimmery and really pigmented. Love alert reminds me of totally it from fafi though, which I already have so I think I want to get one or two more dazzleglasses.

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion
Okay. So I finallyyyyyyyyyyy gave in and bought ONE! Date Night and it is gorgeous! I thought it would be chunky with glitter but its not. Its more sticky than lipglass imo. I love the shine and intensity in it. I might pick up a few more but I am not too sure yet. Most of them all look the same on the lips anyway, I don't get why people buy all the colors. lol I have pigmented lips so I need to becareful and pick colors that will standout. My MA Magarita made me by it. I love the glass like tube a lot, it looks more expensive. lol

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion
OHH I really love these!! Okay so they're not super soft but they really last a long time on my lips and they are sooo shiny. I got Comet Blue, Baby Sparks, Funtabulous, and Like Venus.
I used the Comet Blue over my MAC Rebel lipstick and OMG I got gorgoues purple pink lips with blue sparkles. It may sound strange but it looked so hot. So I think I'm gonna need another Comet BLue. And I was surprised to see that some MAC stores in NYC have Comet Blue sold out already.
Is it me, or does stuff seem to be selling out really quickly lately? I just don't remember in all my MAC buying years, and believe me it's plenty, seeing stuff from so many collections go soo quickly.

I really hope that its not because people are buying to sell on EBAY. Sometimes I wish ebay would just ban people from selling MAC. Its all becoming too shady esp. since dresscamp?

But I will be buying at least 1 dazzleglass now

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion
I just noticed my Comet Blue is almost half gone just from swatching some color combinations, and I looked up the product volumes on the web site. Even though the tubes are oversized like lacquers, there's only .04 fl. oz. of dazzleglass in there. For comparison, that's a little more than a third as much as is in a regular lipglass. Lacquers actually contain .3 fl. oz. of goo. I'm not sure whether I want to return them on principle or shrug it off because I'll be able to swap them for B2M almost immediately.

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion
Well I think it's the fact that there are more and more special collections coming out, trying to lure new customers (come to the dark side! we have cookies!) or get people who buy from a variety of different brands to buy MAC as their main makeup priority. But there is also the eBay factor-people will buy and try and resell it to make a profit. Being a retail SA myself, it's one thing that annoys me. We have sales at our stores all the time, but two big Half-Yearly's, and people will buy tons of stuff there and then sell it on eBay for inflated prices. It could be people who cannot get to one of the stores, or it could be that they buy a ton when a new line comes out and then it inevitably sells out, thus driving up the value of the product (this can be in any case of retail). I mean in some cases, the prices are justified-we had a specific line that we sold at our store that was HORRENDOUSLY popular and got discontinued because they could not keep up with the demand for it. Well the demand just got crazier and people will probably sell a bottle of the lotion for $25 (original retail $13) because they know that the people want it and it does not exist anymore).

Back on topic though (sorry, just had a thought to get off my chest), I think that a lot of times some of the more unique products will sell out-ie the products that are not as easily dupeable. Hollywood Nights sold out insanely fast at every counter in my area, I think that's what is happening with Comet Blue...you can't find a blue glittery gloss that doesn't scream "10 year old using Claire's makeup from 1998" (believe me, I shopped there that summer when they had the blue mascaras and such...) and the sheer novelty is prompting a lot of people to buy it. That's what I love is that it isn't about just "the basic neutrals"...it's about something different and unique.

I actually have to disagree somewhat about the lipsticks. I actually prefer to wear some of them bare, especially Funtabulous. Ms. Fizz looks amazing over Hollywood Nights though.

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion
Does any notice some of them smell funky? I have five and 2 (Rags to Riches & Comet Blue) smell what I would call "normal" and the other three (Sugarrimmed, Bare Necessities & Spanking Rich) smell "off" and different from the others.

At first I thought the Bare Necessities must be bad until I found that others smell just like it, but it seems unlikely that I would get 3 bad ones during one purchase (of 4 that were purchased on one day; I had CB already).

Has anyone else noticed this?

I guess that's what I am wondering though: do some of just have a different smell vs. being "bad"? It seems so improbable that out of 4 different colors bought over the weekend, 3 would, by chance, all be bad.

I learned something about searching, though, because before I posted a searched the thread for "smell" and apparently that doesn't include hits if the poster used "smelled" or "smells" because #353 doesn't show up in that search. I didn't realize the search didn't use anywhere the string appears.

Thanks.
