MAC - Dress Camp Discussion

I think I just really want the lipglasses more than anything. I can deal with just having the gold. I hear the lipstick is pretty sheer, so I'd opt for the pink lipglass too and not the lipstick... but I have so many pink lipglasses already I'm undecided.

I would love if anyone would swatch on their lips and do an EOTD or two UK girls?? Or girls from Asia? That would help SO much because I'm Asian. Heheheh. Detailed reviews would be awesome as well. Pretty please?

The thing is though, that the compact is SO damn cute that I want it anyways! But I know I won't really use those colors... I don't want to have it just to look at it!

I know I felt that the lipstick would be close to Hollywood Nights but it seems much more sheer.

I actually found a Themeday done at a counter in Asia. Bella's Blog~

Bella's Blog - DRESS CAMP THEMEDAY
It actually gives me a sense of what the palettes are like and the lip colors a little. While they're all very cute, it's very geared toward Asians I think. In my experience, many girls in Asia like a very cute shimmery look (my cousins are this way lol!) They're so cute, but this is totally not my style. It's too shimmery and toned down and not bright enough for my taste. Hahaha... As tempting as a the palette itself is (not the colors), I think I really will have to pass on it. But the gold lipglass I definitely will get. The blush is sure pretty though! But I think because of how bright it is, the eyes and lips are much more toned down.

From what I see, I think they used the pink lipstick and the gold lipgloss. Not sure if they used the pink one.

Here, at the bottom, you see the gold lipglass over the pink lipstick, and it looks like the color used by the Asian MAs on themeday.

Very very sheer colors. Wow! I'm finding so many Asian blogs on Dress Camp! The blush looks REALLY pigmented though! So I guess since it's an Asia exclusive, I can pull it off if this is the style or look I'm going for. Ahahaha.

In the end, I really can justify in not wanting it. Except for She-Gold, She-Gold looks gorgeous.

hmmm.. every one of them talked about the silver glitters in the beauty powder, so i guess i'm better off sticking with sweetness bpb

Yeah, I noticed they said it was VERY shiny and glittery. Yeah, I now can completely opt out on the palette and not feel guilty. The packaging itself is not worth $36 if I don't use the palette!

Yeah, I was looking forward to it as well! But yeah, like I said, it's geared toward Asians, and I'm not being stereotypical when I say it, honestly! But yeah, it's Asian exclusive after all, and I honestly do think it's appealing to the Asian population. My cousins would love it! So unless you truly love the colors and the style it intends suits you, I'd say pass on it.

Me too! Yeah, so I'm definitely passing on it as well. Maybe not the gold lipglass. I don't have anything like that in my collection yet! So I'll still have something of the packaging and the box!

I really want the palette! The more and more I see it the more I want it.

I really need She-Gold. The other two lippies I dunno. I already have so many Bright Pink lipsticks and glasses, but I never wear them. The Zebra print bullet lipstick is so cute, but I think I'm going to have to decide to pass on it.

I had a look at this today and I got the lipstick, Too Fab. Its not sheer at all! Very buildable and bright. Very pretty and nothing like the Heartherette lipstick. As far as the palette goes, I'm kinda on the fence! I like the 3 e/s colors but the blush is totally not my style. VERY glittery!!! Gold glitter in fact. I'm just not sure.....but I think I'm going to pick up the gold lipglass aswell!

I want the palette and the lipstick! The palette I love because I can toss it in my bag for touch ups on for when I do my make up at work because of the versitle colors. And the lipstick bullet is just so cute. But like BunnyBunnyBunny said, I have SO many bright pinks that I hardly wear! Love it anyway...

The packaging is so cute I just had to get everything from dress camp.
The lipstick is pretty sheer since it's a glaze and it's nothing like hollywood nights in my opinion. I think I could have done without the lipstick since I have colours simiular, but the packaging is so cute I just had to get it. The palette is also really pretty, the blush is really pigmented and alot darker than I thought it would be.
