Re: MAC - Gold Fever Discussion
omg can someone answer the funniest/dumbest question ever?
What color is sharkskin? For some odd reason Ive been thinking it was like a dark blue color....but now that i am using my brain and seeing a pattern in this collection, i get the idea that it may be silver.....besides the fact that sharks skin usually is silverish....

its a dark grey, almost black, with silver shimmer. it looks kinda like graphito paint or dark soul pigment.

Yeah this is the only thing i really want from this collection! I think it will make a great base for a smakey eye since i've been doing that more lately!!!
I also want Classic Cream liquidlast liner. I had my make-up done by a MAC mua last week for a wedding and i think she used this as a base! It looked really nice and i think she used it as a base for the whole bridal party. I checked the MAC site and its on there so i guess its just part of the regular line? Or i'm assuming its not available at counters but at the stores only? Either way i have a store and a counter at my mall 2 mins away so i really want to get this now!!!

Wow she used that as a base!? That liquidlast liner takes days for me to remove! If I used that as a base I could walk through fire and my shadow wouldn't even melt off. Your wedding makeup must have really lasted!

sharkskin's been DC'd, so it might be a bit hard to find. i'd check freestanding stores first. they usually have a larger stock of products and sell out/RTV products after counters.

Re: MAC - Gold Fever Discussion
i didn't even know that sharkskin s/s was dc'd...shows how dense i am, sheesh. i had it once though, and i wasn't stoked on it at all so i returned it. i finished off my overcast s/s and i still have a little over half of my beige-ing s/s which i rarely use. they're great, but they add too much sparkle for everyday wear i think...and sharkskin was just so damn effing hard to blend unless you like melted it in a frying pan first...but then it would burn your eyelids off, so that part wasn't really awesome.
i don't know how come mac keeps repromoting things? if you haven't got anything new then just don't worry about it...for fuck's sake, we don't need a "new" collection every two weeks.

Yeah it didn't budge at all!!! I'm pretty sure i saw her use it on the bride and the rest of us bridesmaids and it lasted all day and night! Actually my make-up still looked damn good the next day so i just re-applied some more eyeshadow over it! I know that is so gross but it looked so pretty even after i slept!!! But yeah, that base was sooooo hard to get off after!!! That stuff is budge proof!!!

It is great as a base during allergy season with runny eyes.
Also, to get it off more easily, put down a layer of FL in Froslite first and then use the Classic Cream LLL over it.
Still stays put all day and is easier to get off at the end.

Re: MAC - Gold Fever Discussion
i was wondering if someone could post a swatch of silver fog pigment since i think it's one of the pigments coming out with this collection and probably one of the things im going to get as it's a pro product that will be available to us.
what glitters are coming out with this collection? does anyone know?

Re: MAC - Gold Fever Discussion
Well at least that's $15 I can save since I already have 3D Silver. Once my Marigold arrives though, I can make the decision about whether or not I need 3D Gold. I also don't need Golden Lemon but will get Silver Fog.

If you are talking about MAC Marigold glitter and want something different then you will definitely want 3D gold glitter because they arent anything alike. Marigold is an orangey yellow large chunky based glitter, 3D gold is much finer, more yellow and has that pretty holographic effect
