Jasmin everytime I see one of your posts I keeping kicking myself for not trying your sharkskin and parrot combo. It sounds so gorgeous!

Are they even serious with this collection? It's just a bunch of permanent items lolz.. I can't help but think that MAC is overstocked with some of these items and just thought up some way to unload them in the form of a collection

Well I think it's a way to get the Nordie's clients a way to get some products that are normally only available at freestanding or PRO stores, as well as some discontinueds-because not everybody has access to a pro store. Also it screams holiday parties to me so it's a way of promoting current products to make them all look new and fresh and appealing...

There is a Nordstrom and MAC event like this around this time of year annually.

If you do try it, I recommend UDPP or TFSI underneath, for the reasons I gave in my above post.

I hope that since MAC is re-promoting Sharkskin in this collection, it means that they are eventually going to bring back and redevelop the shadesticks collection.

Well I must say I'm excited about Sharkskin coming back. I don't have it in my collection and when I see your posts it makes me want it to try... (just like Coachkitten).. So I did the originals facechart with Parrot, Charred, & Carbon... I got compliments All day everywhere I went... I Can't wait to do it with Sharkskin! I'm sure its just as amazing as you say!!

I looove Sharkskin! I'm so glad it's coming back! I ran out and the MA told me blackground paint pot was a good sub for it. I also love Voile slimshine! I think I layer it on top of most everything for that extra sparkle!

so, on another board, i've heard people say that the Sharkskin shadestick is still available at Nordstrom, so i called my local store to see if they had it in store (i called because it's over an hour away and i don't want to waste a trip) and the MAC sales associate knew nothing about Sharkskin...then i told him that it was supposed to also be repromoted with Gold Fever, and once again, he knew nothing. he told me to call the actual MAC freestanding store and ask them because they get collections Nordstrom doesn't. I politely tried telling him that this was the opposite in this case, but he still kept arguing with me. I'm really ticked. why don't employees know more about things like this?

sharkskin is discontinued. that may be why he knew nothing about it. some stores may still have a few in stock, others may not.
