Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
^^^ I saw that today! But there's a lot of people who do go crazy for that lipstick. I would never wear anything that bright but i guess its all about getting your hands on a collector's item for some of the really die hard MAC fans!

I'd wear it, but I wouldn't pay more than $20 for it.

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
Despite the packaging, I find this collection more interesting than Fafi, because of the finishes. Eyes shadows in veluxe pearls and frosts vs. velvets, lustres and repromotes. Satin and Amplified Creams vs. glazes. Real beauty powders vs Iridescent pressed powders, aka Glitterbombs. I'm definitely checking collection when March 8th rolls around.

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
That Smooth Harmony BP looks rockin' on NC45s. I use it a contour/blush/bronzer and LOVE IT (I'm NW25).

Yeah, me too. The only turn off for me is the packaging.

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
I am interested in the finishes too. As far as lipsticks go I only have lustres and glazes (which is fine, but I'd like to try others). I am just so excited for this. I will have to choose wisely because I won't have much money, but I just love it. the packaging has grown on me and I can't wait to have those hot pink babies in my possession.

Thanks, MAC-Whore! Now I can't wait to get it. I wasn't around during the Diana Ross Icon collection so I'm so excited to try this beauty powder.....NW45 for reference.

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
Fafi dissapointed me soooo much! I'm glad I'm saving my $$$$$$ so I can get alot of Heatherette. I'm alittle dissapointed with the packaging also. Altough I LOVE anything pink, I'm kinda turned off at the disco ball look. I cannot wait to see a pix of those lashes!!!!!

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
After Fafi and reading over Heatherette, I really down-sized my Heatherette list. Which is fine because I LOVED the Fafi lippies. I need to get a back-up for Fun N' Sexy for sure.
Lollipop Lovin' l/s
Style Minx l/g
Starlet Kiss l/g
Eye Trio 1
Eye Trio 2
I'll have to swatch Hollywood Nights lipstick when I get to the store because I'm scared it might be really similar to Girl About Town and I wouldn't want to buy it just because of the packaging.
The Dual-Edge Pencils don't appeal to me. Eyeliners don't really stay on my oily Asian single lids, I'll stick to fluidlines or shadesticks (if they still have these.. D: ) I can skip the glitters because I live near a Pro Store.. and I don't want the pigments (pink isn't that great on me unless it's a fuchsia). And no nail lacquer (I never buy them), or Beauty Powder (I might as well get more Warmed and Light Flush instead) and I've never done my own lashes... so none of that either. Though my short and sparse Asian lashes could probably use them.

I hope so!! I need so much time to save up for this!! When I did my pre-collection calculations, I am in so much trouble!! I want both trios, all the lipsticks, and a beauty powder. Plus I'm running out of room for all my makeup!
But I have over a month, so there is hope!! LOL

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
Smooth Harmony is my favorite face powder, I use it to hi-light and to set my concealor and/ or select tint.
So excited to see its making a come back with Heatherette!
I think a lot of WOC will be happy to have this one in their collections, its a great match!

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
I think it's funny that so many people are worried that Hollywood Nights will be a Girl About Town dupe, since that's exactly what I'm PRAYING for! I love the color of GAT, but I hate AC's. For my purposes (mostly drag and makeup art), they're lousy . . . I find them really inexact in application, and they have a tendency to go sort of everywhere on my face. Too liquid-y. I'd love a GAT color with the stick-on power of a Satin finish.
edit: PS - I *hate* using AC's with a brush . . . gah!
