OMG the swatches! I am in LOVE with the liner colours!

I think on the product swatches, the most recent ones of Heatherette, the poster (blueangel1023) switched Lollipop Loving and Melrose Mood. They also have them switched on the gloss over lipstick ones as well. Because Lollipop Loving should be orangey/coral, but it looks like it's labeled as the light pastel pink color that is the color description for Melrose Mood.

I thought: THAT does NOT look like coral.

I noticed the switch too. I think she just got a little confused. But her pictures are wonderful! Lemming most of the lip stuff.

I definitely must have Lollipop Loving! But I'm not sure of Hollywood Nights, I have to get to the store and swatch Girl About Town next to it, to see how similar or dupeable the color is. Not down for the light pink one though. It'll look weird on my warm skin for sure!

I really want the light pink gloss and the hot pink one I gotta swatch too (I have too many hot pinks, lol, Love Rules, Flashmode, Totally It...)! =)

What a shock! My MA told me today that we won't get Heatherette here! Who is responsible for this? Does MAC really think that German girls don't love hot pink? I am more than angry and disappointed. I just can't believe it. I 've been looking forward to Heatherette since weeks.
The lipsticks, the Beauty Powder,...

No, I just don't believe it.

(After that shock I went to Starbucks and ate a big chocolate cookie. But it did'nt help.)

Thanks BlueAngel for the awesome swatches!! I am SO excited for the lip stuff now! They all look amazing! I was going to pass on the liners, but I don't know if I can pass on them after the swatches, I think I am going to cave on the purple and grey ones! The pink beauty powder looks nice too. I am not soooooo excited for the shadows anymore. The color payoff doesn't look that great All in all, this is going to be a big haul for me I think. Thank goodness for tax returns!

Wow, thanks for catching that slight mishap! lol, I kind of rushed this a bit since some ppl I know wanted swatches and pics up asap. When I think of Lollipop, I was thinking "pink" so it got stuck in my head that Lollipop was pink instead of coral (hehe) but NO worries, I fixed up the pics on the swatch thread. Things are back to normal

I absolutely agree with you about the light pink one!!! I am extremely light skinned with strong yellow under tones and finding pastel pinks that work on me is extremely hard! I think I definately will pass on this. But I NEED Lollipop Loving!! And I want that beige gloss!!

But I'm not sure how I feel about the trios after seeing the swatches. The peach in Trio 1 looked kind of weird and I never really use black shadow. And the colors in Trio 2 were, meh. But I think if I got a chance to play with them IRL, I would like them so much more.

And those pencils!! Initially I didn't care for them, but now that purple one looks killer!! Me want!

I agree I was not even thinking about the liners but now, ai! And the smooth harmony will be mine, I may just get two since it's supposed to work well on AA skin tones.

I don't understand why you need to call anybody an idiot because they will pay for something that they want.

I will fully admit that I am a collector and also that I wouldn't pay for $80.00 for a lipstick. Maybe, perhaps as you said, if money was no object, maybe I wouldn't think twice about buying it, but money is an object. So, no $80.00 lipstick for me.

I don't think people who buy Creme de la Mer or La Prairie items are idiots, just because I think they are ridiculously priced. Nor would I think you were an idiot if you bought something that I necessarily find ugly or expensive. It's all about taste, wealth and what we are willing to pay for certain said items.

Listen, there is a lot of shit in this world to bring you down and if you buy a senseless object for $80.00 that will make you happy - more power to you!

So you think between Fafi Quad 1 and Heatherette 1, which one would be the better buy? I was thinking of holding off on Fafi Quad 1 to get the Heatherette Quad 2 because the color family seemed similar, but I'm not sure anymore.. D: And Quad 2 has purple which is.. awesome with my eyes, more so than the Fafi Quad 1 would have been I think.. I dont' know. D:

Yeah, being NC totally wrecks pastel pinks for me, especially one that is that flat of a color, if you know what I mean? Yeah, I usually use warmer pinks, hot pinks, corals, and beige colors, it just fits the warm coloring better. =)

For those who are near PRO stores, it will be arriving on March 20th.

So, those swatches were really helpful! I just hope the dual liners will look a little better, right now they look boring compared to the rest of the packaging!

I possibly want: Sock Hop lipglass, Starlet Kiss lipglass, all of the liners (since I own one and it is 2 inches tall )

Plus, it will be right after March Finals finish and I will be on spring vacation! Now, how I will put together money is another problem. I can wish all I want.....

the pink folder thing
and maybe the lashes (need to see them first)

not sure on the pencils.. you can buy normal mac pencils or liners that have similar colours and you are getting a FULL pencil not half of one because its dual, but i may change my mind, doubt it though

Those swatches are great! Can you compare the pale pink one to Snob? or the dark pink one to Girl About Town? I don't mean more swatches, I mean can you comment on how similar they are to those existing shadeS? I just bought Snob and now I'm wondering if I still need the pale pink one.

Can someone explain beauty powders to me? What do they do?

Video was unimpressive--they show the Ebay auction pictures and the description is exactly what we have here in the Color Description Thread

I wasn't trying to offend anyone by what i said. I didn't even realize how it may have sounded. I am just a really broke person. You're right...people spend a lot of money on other things that make them happy. That was just my initial reaction...$80 is pretty expensive for one lipstick. Makeup is like the only thing I buy and am into...so I understand. Sorry
