(I'm not buying any more nudes until 2009! lol)

One or two of the pencils (I like them all I just have to see in person) I agree with whoever said that they should.....repackage...they don't look very nice with the white and black at all.

And I like both eye trios. So I'll have to see which one works for me. exciting!

I don't have Snob, but I do know that Melrose Mood would have a creamier texture with a bit of shine being that it's Amplified Creme. Snob is a satin finish, so it's more of a semi-matte texture. I will head to the Mac store this wk and compare the colors and see if I could possibly sneak in some swatches. Lol, I'll try to find out about Girl about Town and compare it with Hollywood Nights as well.

Anyone know if you could use your pro discount (ppid) on the trios? I know you can't use it on pre made palettes but I'm hoping we can on these. *crossing fingers*

Yeah, being NC totally wrecks pastel pinks for me, especially one that is that flat of a color, if you know what I mean? Yeah, I usually use warmer pinks, hot pinks, corals, and beige colors, it just fits the warm coloring better. =)

GAH!! I wish I could help you on that! I usually wear ANY color eyeshadow (except yellow, I have a weird hatred of that color 90% of the time!) so for me, it just comes down to which do I like more, or which do I have less of and need more? I haven't gotten my Fafi Eyes 1 yet; it's in transit (thanks blueangel1023!...Again!), but that one seems suited to warmed tones. As far as both of the trios go, I think I'm leaning more towards Trio 1 because I have very few light greens and only one black and maybe one peach shadow. Whereas I have ten purple. But based on you FOTDs that I've seen, I would hold off on Fafi for Heatherette. If nothing else, the packaging is way cuter!!

Thanks for the advice and considering the FOTDs I've done to make a decision! XD That makes me happy for some reason. x3 I have too many greens and blacks, so maybe I should hold off on Trio 1 at least. In anycase, if Trio 2 for Heatherette doesn't seem as complete as Fafi 1, then I could at least pull in Vanilla eyeshadow and Pink Venus eyeshadow, so it'd be somewhat a cross of Fafi 1 and Heatherette 2. I just don't have many pinks, so it'd be nice to get a quad that can fill in that hole in my colors. x3

Oops, and I just realized that in the first line, I said Heatherette 1, when I really was talking about the 2nd trio with the pink and purple in it, which is what I kept mentioning in the rest of my comment. Ahahaha, mistake.

After seeing the swatches, i have completely changed my mind! I still want melrose mood, and bonus beat to wear over it, i think the 2 will look great together! And now i'm thinking trio #1!!!

Looking at the swatch, would anyone call Alpha Girl a NARS Orgasm dupe? I was going to buy Orgasm, but now I wonder if I should wait for Heatherette to come out ...

Alpha girl is slightly pinker than NARS Orgasm and has less shimmer. Orgasm blush is more of a peachy toned w/gold. I would say the closest to nars orgasm from MAC would be springsheen or peachtwist blush. or if you want to go a less expensive route Milani Luminous blush works just as well for only $4 at any drugstore (but it's DC) you might be lucky and find it in some stores. I believe Sassed up from Fafi is similar to NARS orgasm, but less pigmented. Although iridescent powders are quite similar to msf's as highlighters.

Ack! I hope you get your quad soon. The dreadful weather made me hibernate at home so I didn't send off til the weekend. lol, but u should get it within a day or 2...I mean, c'mon u live in NY!

Btw, I was bored and decided to do a FOTD for the heatherette 1 + 2 trios. It's on the swatch thread. Sorry for the crappy eye application on the 1st trio. As it took me 20 mins to do the fotd for trio #2 first, I just got lazy and did the 1st trio in less than 10 mins. lol, but i just wanted ppl to get a general idea on how the colors looked together on the lids. I didn't put blush or much foundation on...boy do I look pastey and uneven toned! lol

Wow, I loooove how the trios look on you. These colors did not excite me at all, but they look fantastically blended and just gorgeous. I wish I could pull these off in the morning, but I'm usually only half awake

True about the horrible weather. And that is okay about waiting, I can wait for my shadows.

And thank you for those FOTDs! You just made me want them...again. LOL Do you think that there are any colors in the perm line that are close to any of the trio colors? I am really lemming Trio 1, but I'm on the fence about Trio 2.

I know I'm bad at gaging sizes from just looking at something, but are the e/s in the trios the same size as a regular pan??

I too am thinking Heatherette Trio 2>Fafi 1 for me.

Yep, the e/s trios are in fact the same size as the pot and pro pan e/s

Yay! So I'm not the only one thinking this. I was pretty torn between waiting for Heatherette Trio 2 over Fafi Eyes 1, but I think that purple is what does it for me. =) Because Fafi does have 4 colors, but one of the colors is vanilla, which can easily be subsituted with another personal highlight color.

Definitely, I found vanilla to be really chalky when I swatched it. But I feel like I'd be missing out on Hey since the lightest in Heatherette 2 seems more like a highlight vanilla-ish colour. Must...find...hey..dupe....

Plus the Heatherette casing looks a lot more fun than the fafi quad case--I was tempted to make my own Fafi type dupe one with a reg. quad case so its clear on top...yeah...I'm weird! LOL

There is probably a good Hey dupe out there, any tan/taupe shimmery color should work I would think. I do have some browns that probably lightening it with a highlight color would do the trick.

I have also read somewhere on this forum, that "All that Glitters" is a good dupe for Hey.

I love the Heatherette packaging as well! Can't wait till I get my hands on it. It's more up my alley than Fafi, though I think I will be buying less from this collection than Fafi. I just have so many hot pink lippies that I think can dupe Hollywood Nights and the hot pink lipgloss.
