Yeah me too! My card was charged $158 of my $360 order too. I was wondering the same thing!

ALOT less. there is a very subtle sheen to the heatherette ones. they are actually closer to a matte finish than they are to the finish of the barbie ones. but atleast they aren't matte. there's just enough pearl to allow them to slide across the skin.

ok I just called and she said they're not expected to be on backorder long, they are getting their shipment delivered tomorrow, so hopefully that means our orders will all go out tomorrow or at the latest by friday. UGHHHHH I'm so excited! lol

Ya know, I tried a trial run this morning with shadows that I have that are similar to Trio #1. When I swatched the aqua shadow in the store, it reminded me of something but I couldn't figure out what... I was digging through my stash last night, and found my Maybelline Sea Glass Eyeshadow Duo. Obviously, I couldn't compare them side by side, but from what I remember, the lighter side and Mood Ring are very close. MAC's texture is definately better, but the color itself *may* be similar enough to allow me to pass on the trio since I have Cloudburst. I am going to take it with me tomorrow and swatch them side by side. Incase you are curious, I was wearing the Sea Glass duo in this FOTD:

yup, looks like everything is going smoothly.

our Canadian order status tells us "status N/A", "processing" or "shipped"

as long as it doesn't say backordered, i think we're okay

I just made an appointment for tomorrow at MAC! Yay!!

The closest MAC to me is over an hour away, but I don't care! Its worth it!

Its funny when I called to make sure it was releasing tomorrow and make an appointment the MA said they weren't really booked tomorrow at all, cause a lot of people were scheduled for next week, the original release date. That's good news for me!!

I am SO hoping to use my B2M's for a lipstick. We'll see if they let me do it. Can't wait for tomorrow!! YAY!!

Am I one of the only ones not excited for this collection? I realize that the packaging is pretty.. but repromotes of relatively recent collections such as Blue Storm(Aug 2007!), Strange Hybrid(May 2007), the exception being Diana Ross from 2005. and then a handful of pro items.. eh, I'm not enthralled.

IMO Aquadisiac is much brighter and darker than Mood Ring. It swatches different than it appears in the pan. If you mix Aquadisiac and a green, you may get something similar but much darker. The iridescense of Mood Ring may be hard to dupe though. That's why I am so on the fence about it... it really is pretty unique. Some things come close, but they are definately not exact. WHY does MAC do these things to us?

SO HAPPY!! I love the MA's at my mac counter. They just had a bag of the heatherette stuff out so they let me have a look at all the heatherette stuff and pre-order what i wanted and let me try on the lipsticks and glasses to see which ones i liked best. Im guarenteed to get what i want now!! YAYNESS!!!

All 4 Dual Eye Pencils
Lollipop Loving Lipstick
Sock Hop Lipglass
Trio 1
Pink Pearl Pigment
Jardin Aires Pigment
Alpha Girl BP

I wanted smooth harmony but it blended in exactly with my skin tone so it just would've been a setting powder for me so i didn't bother with it.

No more spending money for me!! lol. I really went over my limit but i didn't want to miss anything from this collection that i really wanted because im sure they will sell out of certain things pretty fast.

I agree about the repromotes. It kills me when they repromote things from such recent collections. And it makes it even worse when they pair them up with new shades in trios/quads etc. They get me everytime. IF the shadows were singles, I would only buy ONE at $14.00, but instead, I will most likely pay $32.50 for a trio because of one color. The rest I don't need. On the other hand, repromoting things so quickly, and repromoting PRO items makes it easier on my wallet since I can pass on those things easily and get more of the things that are new, and still stay within a budget. The whole thing is a blessing and a curse at the same time LOL. I think the packaging is great, but packaging alone won't get me to buy something, I have to love what is IN the packaging.

Its annoying though. I have given up on buying quads/trios anymore. I didn't like "cloudburst" when it came out, why the heck would i want the quad? Sometimes I try to cheat by comparing the colors in the premades to single pots/pans and see what I can get away with.

When I think back to my white metal SnowGirl palettes and all the ones i've gotten since then, i am so annoyed at how many dupes of colors or rather the intense similarities there are..

The MAC website is all messed up. You can't view Heatherette or the Beauty Powder Blushes anymore, or the eyeshadows... but at least my order says "processing"!
