I kinda knew someone was going to say this. I know its supposed to blend, but there isnt any glow either. Nothing. Its as if I put a regular powder foundation on. I should have re-worded my statment in my previous post. Maybe I did something wrong.

of all the bps ever made, these have the least amount of shimmer by far, so i actually think it makes them more wearable, since you can wear them all over without looking like a greasy disco ball!
and ladyvirtuous, it wasn't in response to you hun. alot of people have been saying it. alot of people think that they are supposed to have alot of color or alot of shimmer, when really they aren't. you did nothing wrong.

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
I told myself I wouldn't get too excited about Heatherette until I could see it in person (though, that didn't stop me from looking at swatches and whatnot). I headed in to my local MAC store this morning and it was empty aside from the MAs. I'm in there a lot, so most of them know at least my face, if not my name. One of them decided I should try on EVERYTHING simply because I could! So... for the most part... I did. I actually put on all 8 liners at once... the four dark ones on top and the soft sparkles on the bottom. Tis pretty fun.
I didn't feel the need for the alpha girl BP as it would only give me a shimmer, and I have other products that do that. The eyeshadows weren't unique enough from other things I own for me to spend the money, much as they're pretty and the packaging is adorable.
I ended up leaving with the dual edge pencils in black funk/blue pop, nighthawk/front row and fab orchid/dash lily; lipstick in hollywood nights and lollipop loving (though I wish LL had more colour payoff, I still like it. As for Melrose mood? Way too milky on me; didn't agree with my red hair. Fleshpot just looked ridiculous); the jardin aires pigment and a pair of she's bad lashes. I also picked up the perky paintpot, a new 217 brush, fluidline in shade, beauty powder blush in secret blush and four empty sample jars (I have some broken lipsticks to melt down).
Oh, how I wish I had a pro card. It would have made today slightly less harmful to my credit card.

I was at Square One this a.m it was pretty busy (both stores) but not at the actual Heatherette display.
I ended up with both trios and sock hop l/g which is the perfect peachy nude on my pigmented lips LOVE...I also picked up Eversun bp which is amazing.
Lollipop Lovin' barely showed up on my lips which is pretty much what i expected from a glaze lippie. The beauty powders are not something I felt like I need-I have a pressed powder to give me an all over glow already and the pink one was invisible on my skin tone.
I'm happy with my haul..small but I know I will love the things I got
I'm an NC42 brown chick for reference.

Sorry to jump in, but I looove this color. When it came out the first time, I just used it to set foundation for customers with your skintone. I just liked the finish better than using a regular powder. I would then go back and add color with a blush. I actually think it's been the best BP for WOC, but that's just me.
Edited to say at the time we didn't have MSF Naturals, and this gave the effect I wanted to see...a little glowy without looking too disco ball-ish. lol

Oooh, I'm hoping Queen pro will have it in, even tho they said the 27th. And I hope the prices might have actually been reduced!... haha, yeah right. =P With the reviews on Lollipop Lovin' I'll be passing, so hopefully tonight I'll come back with Trio #1, Black Funk duo, and Lolla Devine polish. If they stick around, Fab Orchid and Sock Hop will be on my 2nd haul a couple weeks from now (I've gotta whittle down these hurtful yet beautiful hauls somehow!).

you got smooth harmony, right?
do your foundation and powder (whatever you use to set foundation with, if you do use a powder). apply your blush next on the apples of your cheek. then, take a #182 if you have it, or something similar, and buff it into your cheekbones and temple (use a little less here). it'll give you a nice glow without being too over the top. using the #182 intensifies it compared to a softer brush like the #150.

I was just about to mention this.
If i didn't already own the MSF Naturals I would have probably purchased this to use as an all over setting powder because it is softer than regular blotting/pressed powder... however seeing as I do own the Natural MSF buying this wouldn't make much sense.

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
Ok! I just got back from my local MAC store, and HOMG! I bought so much more than I even thought!
First of all, I totally wasn't planning on getting Fleshpot or Bonus Beat, because I *thought* Fleshpot would be too dead looking on me. But it's so not! It's really natural, and easy to wear! Also, I had written off Bonus Beat, because all the pics I'd seen online made it look like a clear glittery gloss, and it's SO NOT! OMG, I had to get it! It's a natural, shimmery opaque color! It's adorable!
I bought all the lipsticks and all the lipglasses! Crazy thing: I was the first in the store, and they already only had ONE Melrose Mood l/s left! WTF? But I got my hot little hands on it, so that's all that matters!! Mwahaha!
Lollipop Loving is a gorgeous color too! You can totally see the green shimmer in it when you have it in your hands! It's really hard to see online.
Also, Hollywood Nights is by far my favorite of the l/s!! It's gorgeous! And Style Minx, omg. No one should compare it to Totally It, it's COMPLETELY different! It's way more opaque and way more shimmery (as opposed to the way Totally It is clearer and glittery). It goes on so smooth, it's like a lacquer more than a gloss! OOh! I love it!
And silly thing about the trios, I was totally going to get the pink/purple trio, because I usually wear those kind of colors, but meh... they weren't very thrilling to me. But once I saw the turquoise in the trio #1, homg. I was sold! It's so much more turquoise than I thought it would be! And Cloud Burst is gorgeous too!
I also got 2 pencils: Black Funk/Pop Blue ('cause that blue is SO HOT) and the purple duo pencil too, 'cause I am just such a sucker for purple.
I was a little sad they didn't get any Pink Pearl Pigment, which I desperately wanted, but oh well. Next time!!!
God, I love this collection!!!

Yes, I forgot to mention that I have the Smooth Harmony.
Okay, thank you for your help. Greatly appreciated and I have those brushes too. No extra money spent.
Thanks again erine1881!

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
FYI, on my NW15 skin, Alpha Girl Beauty Powder and Shy Beauty are almost dead on dupes. Shy Beauty has a bit of golden shimmer in the pot, but once applied to my cheeks it disappears. I am wearing SB on one cheek and AG on the other right now, and can't tell a difference. I plan to keep both though cause I love the color!

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
I finally went in and got my heatherette pre-order!! SO HAPPY!! It was pretty dead this morning so i probably had no need for the pre-order but it got me in and out of there in no time with what i wanted and i didn't have to stress about not getting what i wanted.
I finally tried the pencils on my skin and the dark sides are very creamy but the glitter sides not so much. I figure if i use them more they will get a little creamier and easier to apply i hope. I love the colors though.
I tried the colors from trio 1 and i especially loved mood ring. I liked cloudburst as well since i missed the collection it came out in earlier. Im not sure that i really like Hoppin' since it's a pretty light pink and pinks dont particularly suit me but i can probably make it work.
I have yet to swatch the pigments and see how they look on my skin especially pink pearl but im glad i got it anyways.
I love lollipop loving and sock hop wearing them by themselves or together. Im wondering if i should get backups although i dont wear lipsticks on a daily basis.
I like alpha girl beauty powder a lot. It's a perfect light blush for a natural look which i prefer. Like someone else said smooth harmony did nothing for my skin in the sense i didn't really see a glow to my skin once it was on. I tried it on at the mac store with an MA putting it on me. I feel like it actually dulled my skin tone maybe it was just me.
Anyways i love love love this collection and im glad i didn't pass it up. I'll post up swatches later as i have to get back to my final paper. I can't wait till i get time to really play with everything that i got!! Hope everyone else is enjoying their heatherette haul as much as i am!!

Hmm ok so my status order says "changed" on the website.. This is so confusing!! I called the customer service line to ask what it meant, they asked for my order number, and the lady said it's been shipped... Haha oh MAC how confusing you are.
Oh well, as long as I know that it's shipped, I'm happy!! Except I'm curious as to why it isn't on the web site!

Hi hun I am NW45. I see that you are lighter than me so I can see smooth harmony giving you a really nice glow.

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
Just got back from my pro store and I ended up with Melrose Mood, Lollipop Loving, Hollywood Nights, Bonus Beat (B2M), Nighthawk/Front Row and Pink Treat liner.
Hollywood Nights is my favorite of the lippies! It's basically a satin version of Girl About Town. Love the color and it's so pigmented that after I wiped it off with one of the MAC wipes it looked like I still had it on.
Melrose Mood wasn't all too hot to me at first but when paired with Pink Treat liner and Lilacrush Lipgelee it looked really pretty. It's what I was hoping C-Shocks Out to Shock lippie would be. Still kinda weary about this one but we'll see how it goes.
Lollipop Loving's coral didn't really show up on my lips but the green gold was definitely visible. I think if I use my lip erase and a good liner it'll help bring out the color more.
Bonus Beat isn't unique at all but it is pretty and my kit's been needing something like this so I picked it up anyway.
Nighthawk/Front Row pencil is awesome! The texture is super smooth and they didn't budge at all...I had to go over it with a MAC wipe 2-3x just to get it off. The glitter in these pencils seems much smoother to me than the Softsparkle ones. I may have to go back and get the other ones!
Oh and after checking out the trios I was pretty darn close to picking up #1 cause of Mood Ring but I held back because the MA said I could get a pretty close dupe if I used Shimmermint SS with Aquadisiac e/s and I've got both of those so it didn't make any sense to pick it up.
Anywhos, I'm quite satisfied with my haul. I wasn't tooooo crazy wild about this collection so I won't be purchasing backups but the packaging and the colors sure are fun!
