I'd suggest to pass. I have the Reflects Gold from a long time ago and I used it once since they are not safe for the eyes.

This was my problem too. Melrose Mood looks completely ridiculous on me, but I bought it anyway because it's such a gorgeous color. I'll find a way to make it work without clashing with the red hair..I hope. I also bought Lollipop Loving, which I love. The green iridescence is lovely. Sock Hop was the only lipglass I purchased, and it turns quite orange on me, much like the Missy Slimshine. Looks nice over LL lipstick though. Trio 1 is fantastic, and I can't wait to play with it tomorrow! I have no idea when I'll wear the She's Bad lashes, but I don't care..I like just looking at them. The last thing I bought was the 3D Silver Glitter. One of the MA's saw me eyeing it, and showed me that he had put it on his nails with a coat of clear base coat under and over it. It was so cute, I bought it just to try, and did it to my toenails as soon as I got home. I love it! Very sparkly and glamorous; it looks like crushed CD's.

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
Went to pick up my Alpha Girl beauty powder today, and the whole collection is gorgeous.
I was skeptical about Fleshpot too, but the manager showed me a way to make it gorgeous. I tried it on and made a face at the mirror; she saw, and then proceeded to gently line my lips and top it with a layer of the pale pink Heatherette lipglass. I loved it, because the skin-coloured lip really shows off the colour of the lipglass itself.
For those who have been wondering, Lollipop Loving is very sheer. I like that, but it's def. not something I'd wear with a gloss overtop -- the lipstick itself would get totally lost.
I think I am going back for Fleshpot and the nailpolishes next week!

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
So I got:
Lollipop Loving
Sock Hop
Hollywood Nights
Style Minx
Nighthawk/Front Row
Fab Orchid/Dash Lily
Black Funk/Pop Blue
I was extra extra excited for lollipop loving, but it just looks lame on me but so wonderful on everyone else in the swatch thread. I posted mine too so you can go see.
When the MA was digging through the drawers the supply looked extra tiny given the amount of different items Heatherette has. I was also the first one there that morning haha.
I didn't intend on getting Fab Orchid/Dash Lily Dual Eye Pencil, but for some reason I had a brainfart and asked for that one. Then when I got outside, I realized I wanted to blue one so I had to go back and buy it b/c I would feel awful for them to have to throw away a LE item if I just exchanged it.
Now, I don't even want any of them. I'm mad that you can't use them on your waterline, and I'm assuming that you can use them on your lashline though, but I feel like I would accidentally put it on my waterline.
Also, Melrose Mood looks so pretty in person. I hate in swatches I've seen and I didn't get it.

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
Just got back from checking out the collection! Everything was so pretty! Lollipop loving barely showed up on me though. I am NC 45 for reference. You could defintely see more of the reflects green on me for some reason.
Trio 2 the pink in the that compact didn't really show up really well, and the purple color reminded me of entremauve pigment without all the sparklies of entramauve. Since I already had that one I passed on this trio.
Trio 1 on the other hand ; I LOVED!! Mood ring is wonderful! Such gorgeous iridescent colors in it. SO pretty!! I HAD to get that one!!
The BP's didn't really show up on me so I passed on those as well. I loved the eye pencils. I really needed a dark purple liner, so this was the one! I loved the pop blue one too! Goes great with the Trio 1 set! The glitter side isn't nearly as smooth as the solid side though.
Loved the Bad girl lashes! Those are SO cool, and a lot softer to the touch than they actually look. I wanted to get $$$ yes, too but I have so many sliver nail polishes that, I couldn't justify getting it.
Anyway, in case anyone is interested, I don't know if this is true at everyones stores or not, but she wouldn't let me use my B2M's for heatherette. She said it had to be out on the floor for at least 2 weeks before you could use it. Especially she said because they got VERY limited products in. She said they got more pencils than anything else. Very little shadows and lipsticks/glosses. So I just got High top from the fafi with my B2M.
Also the MA was wearing the 3D silver around her eyes and it was gorgeous! Made me want to buy one! She said she just used a 212 brush and applied it dry, and it just stays. She said she didn't use any type of primer or anything, and I didn't see any fallout at all. I guess since they made the texture much more fine than the previous 3D silver, its much easier to work with. So I think I GOTTA get one!!

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
I went and picked up my stuff they were holding. I didn't have much time to play so I may have to make a trip back. I love the e/s trio with the green but actually I just love the package it is in. I love how the pink like the compact is like inset into the metallic pick outer part. It's so cool. I really like Lollipop Loving. I agree alittle more color would be great but I still love it. When I showed my daughter the compact she said it looked like Barbie (not as in Barbie Loves MAC) I told her that it's probably what a lot of people thought the Barbie Loves MAC would look like until we go pics. So here's my haul so far, because I'm sure I will be back for more:
3 Lollipop Loving l/s
Alpha Girl BP
Smooth Harmony BP
Trio #1
Lola Devine nail
$$$$$ Yes
True Romantic BPB

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
Well ladies and gents (are you out there!? ) I just picked up my Heatherette Haul . . . and all I can say is OH MY GOD! I was expecting to be pleased, but I am just blown away. Everything about the collection is fantastic. The makeup itself, obviously, is fantastic (for the record, I got Melrose Mood, Hollywood Nights, Alpha Girl, Smooth Harmony, and both trios, as well as two sets of She's Bad lashes). But, beyond that, the casing is just MAGNIFICENT! Especially after the cheap-o disappointment of Fafi, this stuff is just incredible. I am amazed by how well the Heatherette logo is applied. Totally smooth . . . I was expecting to be able to feel the applique or something, but they're glossy and gorgeous. The products feel substantial, too, maybe a little heavier than the regular items . . . the BPs in particular feel great in the hand. I am THRILLED with this stuff . . . just thought I'd share!
PS - the MA specified to me that when applying the She's Bad lashes, don't remove them as you normally would a lash (i.e. putting your thumb in the middle and pushing away from where the lash is attached) but instead to gently pry up the corner and peel them off. I guess they're a bit fragile.
All you ladies who are waiting desperately for your orders . . . it's worth the wait!
PS - only one MINOR disappointment is that I feel like Hoppin' and Baby Petals are almost exactly the same, but whatever!

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
Obviously since I'm a total addict, I can't wait until Monday to get my items, so I went and got Sock Hop and Lollipop Loving considering they were one of the only things I DIDN'T order in my online haul.. I just posted a lip picture in the Heatherette Swatch Forum... It sucks since half my lip is sorta plump cuz half my face is still swollen from my wisdom tooth removal lol... But you can see the green undertones!! It's cool .

boy are they! i took them off like you said, and put them back in the case. i wanted to make sure i could get em off ok since i gotta wear em tmrw for my look. when i put em back up against the curve, i lost two of my fringes . good thing i got a second pair. plus, im sure they'll sell out fast, so i won't be able to wear em for long.

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
heatherette is GORGEOUS.. everything's so pretty & pink!
today i picked up:
-fleshpot..thought it would look ridiculous but it looks great if you put it on sheer with a brush. i tried it with sock hop over it & it's pretty!
-melrose mood.. very pretty, not too chalky looking. looks good with bonus beat over it as well as the starlet kiss.
-lollipop loving.. love it! the green/goldish iridesensce is gorgeous!
-bonus beat.. it can go over anything
-sock hop.. really pretty tangerine color. i <3 it!
-trio 1.. WOW, the aqua/green color is AMAZING. the whole trio has great color payoff versus trio 2 which i felt didn't.
-pink pearl pigment.. LOOVE IT!
after reading the thread i want to get hollywood nights & style minx. ahh my wallet hurts!

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
Okay, I just got back from the counter and like I though, this collection wasn't really for me . I only got:
Lollipop Loving l/s
Sock Hop l/g
Nighthawk/Front Row dual e/l
Honey B. l/l (obviously not Heatherette)
I went in wanting to get Lollipop Loving and Sock Hop and didn't like them at first sight. Sock Hop looked SO orange in the store and didn't really show up on my lips when I first tried it with the tester wands. But, after trying it with Lollipop Loving OMG, its so pretty just like everyone said LOL. And when I got into my car it looked even better, I think the lighting in my Macy's is horrible :S. I didn't like any of the other lipsticks at all. The lipglasses were all pretty (I got Starlet Kiss on eBay) and I MIGHT get Style Minx but probably not.
I really liked the Trio's but like people have been saying, I think I can pull off the pink/purple one with other shadows . The Trio 1 the only one I liked was Mood Ring. I might actually get that one, I'll see if I really need it when seeing FOTD's with it. But I passed on them today.
I wanted to get a eyeliner just in general so the MA said "You might as well get these so you have SOMETHING Heatherette!" LOL. And then she showed me how to use it and suggested Nighthawk/Front Row because she said it'd bring out my blue eyes. So, I got it. LOVE the creamy side, haven't played with the sparkle side yet.
And lastly, I got Honey B. lipliner at the suggestion of the MA. She thought it was the one that went best with the lip products I got and she was right, it goes beautifully.

I just B2M for Lollipop Loving, Melrose Mood and Fleshpot with no problems.
I really regret getting Lollipop Loving. I have very pigmented lips and in order to get it to show up on me I need to use MAC Pro lip erase. It barely shows up. I am thinking about selling it now...

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
Wow! Lucky you! When the MA saw my bag of B2M's, the first thing she said, is that I couldn't use it for Heatherette, because of their limited lipsticks. Maybe its just that particular counter, since they didn't get much. I don't know, but I think they should have the same policy at all counters, not just the ones that get more product. Oh well...

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
i was trying to resist the call of heatherette but i couldnt, so today on my way home and ran down to my local macy's and asked them if they had it. their display hadn't come yet so they pulled all the pieces out of a plastic bag so i could see them. it was almost surreal, sort of like buying them out of the back of a truck or something. haha. it was okay because they were super nice to me.
anyway, i picked up
-lollipop loving l/s
-sock hop l/g
-pink pearl pig.
im all excited trying ll and sh in the car but i'd have to admit that it looked like crap on my lips, UNTIL i read somewhere a MA told someone to put on sock hop FIRST and then lollipop loving since ll is a glaze! i tried it, and it's perfection! the exact look im going for. i think that i'll run out of the l/g before i run out of the l/s so i'm going to get a backup of sock hop tonight!
