Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
I'm really happy for you gals that got your backordered package....but I want to whine and say I haven't gotten mine yet! LOL. All this talk and I have nothing to play with.
This has probably been answered somewhere but, how different is Dazzleray and Jardin Aires? I have Dazzleray, so is it worth getting Jardin Aires?
Thanks.

On NC30 skin
You can't see it well, but fleshpot is more pink and myth is more beige.
Myth is light on me compared to Fleshpot.

If you want to use a lip liner before Lollipop Loving, my SA suggested Lure. It does bring out the coral tones more. I am probably going to go back and pick it up for this purpose.
Thanks! Now I really want to go back for Sock Hop! Will check out Lure l/l too!

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
I was given a slight hassle for my b2mac at the Dillard's counter, but they went ahead and let me have my 2 lipsticks. I'm so happy with this collection.

IMO, i think Myth is a little more on the peachy/orangey side whereas Fleshpot is just that Fleshy - if that makes sense
I like Fleshpot way better than Myth

When 2N was all sold out my MA recommended Fleshpot as an alternative (I wanted to wait for Heatherette release to get the pink packaging)

Anyone else still waiting for Heatherette at their stores? My local Nordies doesn't have it yet and neither does Macys.com, where I was hoping to order it from since I have a GC.

My Macy's had it out Thursday morning, but they didn't even have a display for it. I had to hunt down a MA to find out where it was.

Same at my Macy's. Thankfully the MAs put it by the register.

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
Those of us Canadians who ordered online...
I just logged into my account and the status is still "CHANGED"
I noticed that the funds charged were in US instead of CA
Has it always been like this?

Haha that's how mine is too, mind you I like how I'm still only being charged 16 dollars for the lip products. And mind you, if I am charged in US dollars, it's okay... After all, their dollar is worth less than ours I THINK. As long as I get my items by Monday/Tuesday I'm good, otherwise I'm going to be concerned.

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
So I went and checked it out yesterday my damage was 143.00! Eeek..
I was going to get Sock Hop cause I thought it was right up my alley but it seemed a little boring, and is it just me or is
Sock Hop lipglass remarkably similar to Purring Tendertone???
I swear to god they look exactly alike. Is it just me?
The Beauty Powders ares awesome and the store manager did some great contouring with them on my face.
No postcards either...phhhthhpptt
I also got the eyeshadow trio which was the second one I think, the one WITHOUT Moodring.
The color payoff is not so great on it though. When I swipe the colors they hardly show up.
Hate that...

HEY THATS THE SAME THING THAT HAPPENED TO ME
I had my B2Ms all ready for style minx and the MA said that it wasnt allowed for Heatherette because it was just released. And i was shocked because i thought B2Ms where allowed for all items except viva glam.
ugh im so mad now!

How can you see your status? Mine says "Status N/A" and that order status isnt available for shipments within Canada. I wonder when I'll get mine...I ordered last night...

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
So, here's my thought on Heatherette from what I've tried today. I may change my mind later after I've tried them longer- who knows
LOVE the Trio 1- Mood ring is such a beautiful color! It looks esp. good over Rollickin' p/p. Cloudburst is great too, but I can't see the green specks in it that much? And the peachy color is great as a highlight- esp. over Perky p/p
UNSURE about Trio 2 as it didn't seem that pigmented, and... casette looked muddy. I like Fertile better.
LOVE Fleshpot with Bonus Beat- Fleshpot really covers highly pigmented lips.
LOVE Lollipop Loving and Sock Hop- the coral color is just beautiful, esp. against warmer toned skin.
UNSURE about Melrose Mood as it is such a bright pink- it is a unique color but may look best on cool toned skin
UNSURE about Style Minx as it is a reddish bright pink, but the consistency is awesome!
LOVE Jardin Aires! Such a nice peachy color to go on the lid with any other color on the outer V or crease
Didn't like Pink Pearl- it was too bright and sparkly for an eye color IMO
Not in love with the dual-end pencils as Urban Decay's 24/7 seem creamier and more pigmented.
There's my 2 cents!

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
Is other side of dual edge pencils (creamy eye liner side) available on its own as a regular MAC pencil? Or both sides are something new?

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
no that end is new (the creamy one), its not avail on its own as a reg pencil. Its crazy smooth, I kinda hope MAC makes one that is as smooth and waterline safe!

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
well I think if you have really oily lids (and I haven't had this problem yet, but I did just get it yesterday) i imagine itll slide. it stays creamy, like later in the day you could prob smoke it out. I'm still unfamiliar with the whole uber-creamy texture, but I love how it doesn't tug. I'll prob have a much better idea of longevity next week but I usually don't have a problem with eyeliner lasting.

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
Sooo... I went yesterday thinking I knew exactly what i wanted, but upon seeing everything in person, i changed my mind on a couple of things.
I got:
Trio 1 (green)
Melrose Mood, Hollywood Nights
Starlet Kiss, Bonus Beat
Alpha Girl BP
Originally i thought i wanted the pink e/s trio, but i wasn't too impressed with the darkest shade and the green shade really caught my eye. Also originally thought I would get Smooth harmony BP to use as a bronzer for the cheeks, but it swatches kinda on the orange side on my NC25 skin.
Also, upon trying Melrose Mood, i have to say it is quite a shocking colour, and i can only wear this with Bonus Beat over it or over a darker liner.
I am still thinking of getting Style Mynx (sp?) and deciding if I want any back ups.
I was also surprised that when I went back to get Alpha Girl, it was sold out at my local counter (Hillcrest Mall for the GTA girls in that area), but the SA had 'hidden' one for whatever reason, and she let me have it! I LOVE this collection, and i honestly had no interest in it when I first heard about it!

Re: Heatherette for MAC Discussion
I had to go back and order Trio 1. I really, really want the blue/green color and I don't have Cloudburst so blah, whatever LOL.
Oh, and Melrose Mood is sold out online now.

Okay - I know this will make me sound like a total nerd - but how do you apply lipstick over a gloss (esp. a glaze)? Does it not just "wipe" the gloss off? Do you use a brush?
Thanks!

thats what I'm thinking. Like, I have probably done it unintentionally...but I just keep thinking that the lipstick would wipe the gloss off. All of my mac lipsticks are lustres and glazes...so I'm used to swiping them on like 6 times to get the right amount of color...I dunno...
And something already sold out?? Geez! I am kind of frustrated...at the way this whole collection got messed up. Shipments were lost, stores didn't get their orders or they got very limited items, we are getting our backordered items one item at a time! I'm sorry I know it sounds like I'm bitching, and I am glad to get my heatherette rrgardless. But I just wish it had run smoothly like Fafi did. As a matter of fact, I am kinda mad. I think Heatherette should have done the things that Fafi did....like why not have shirts for heatherette? They are clothing designers for goodness sakes. Do you guys get what I'm saying. The bags, the dolls and the shirts--I really wish heatherette did it instead of Fafi. I mean Heatherette is already turning out better than fafi...
