MAC - Heatherette for MAC Discussion

This is probably the most exciting thing to happen to MAC since....forever. Well maybe Barbie. But I am SO happy. I got a $300 Bendel's card for Xmas, and I'm saving it all for this collection.

I feel you but I wasn't expecting that just because I know Heatherette. It's a very tacky, over-the-top line. To be honest, it's a bit tamer than I was expecting.

While it appears Lydia is their favorite/main model right now, the actual visual appears to be outlines of the Heatherette designers Ritchie and Travis (I think thats his name).

I hope Heatherette lipstick returns. I never had a chance to see it.

Right now it is scheduled for everywhere but like Erine said, it could suddenly get limited like McQueen.

I picked up some fashion magazine when I was in line at the store today just because it said 'Heatherette' on the front and that made me think Mac... it had Lydia on the front with some killer makeup, and then inside was manyyy pages of pictures and interview with Rich and Travis. They just made mention of the collaboration, and said something about how they've been 'BFF with Mac forever' and something about 'if stranded on a desert island give me champagne and Mac!'. It was entertaining...

They said they have roots with Mac because their first video shoot featured naked Amanda Lepore (*shiver*) putting on hot pink Mac lipstick and then putting it all over her body. (*shiver again*)

That video was done by David LaChapelle for the Heatherette lipstick released 2 or 3 years ago. The model is Amanda Lepore.

i just saw the promo picture for heatherette in the color story section and i love it!

my mother was watching make me a super model on bravo and, all of a sudden, i heard the word "heatherette"

the models were wearing heatherette clothing and talking it about it and all of a sudden they go, and here is the makeup artist using mac cosmetics [or something along the lines of i]...maybe some of the makeup they used is the new heatherette?

its still on. turn it on bravo!

Ooo, I picked that mag up too, Its Missbehave! - I love this mag. Lydia looks great on the cover . In it it looks like Richie Rich is wearing the blue-grey-gunmetal nail polish that is in the promo shot...

It may have been their collection colours. MAC generally doesn't use the special promo packaging for industry samples used during development. They are in the regular black packaging.

I did see the catwalk portion last night. I missed the makeup application. I am pretty sure that was Show Orchid MAC pro lipstick that some of the girls were wearing. Side note: that show is boooooooooooring.

Don't hate me if I'm wrong but I'm almost positive Macy's is getting this because I work at a Belk's Department Store and we're getting it... but we didn't get McQueen or Stylistics, only the Saks here got that..

we had a counter meeting this morning and my boss said that macy's is getting heatherette FOR SURE! so lets hope its true.
