No I don't think they are similar. Conjure Up is darker and more plum (I feel that Gentle is more similar to the mauve spectrum).

Conjure Up didn't look as good on me as SDN did; it actually looked very artificial on my face.
Cheers to Devil May Care and Blue Sorcery, they're my faves too.

Could someone, please show the blushes on cheeks? I`m pretty sure I`ll buy sdn but you make me want conjure up to and it`s not such a bad idea cause I have nothing in this family, but is this the one?
Nice hauls every1, the es are really beautiful but paying 20$ for just 1 color , they don`t convince me, the style black one were really special, and I really like midnight madness but why, why did they have to screw it with that glitter part?

I would worship anyone who did this forever. I would love to see cheeky swatches of the blushes, no matter what skintone or if you have just the one or both of these.

GET IT!
It's soo good just be careful when applying, I used a heavy hand, and I was looking crazy!!
I'm wearing it now with Blue Sorcery, and Smoke and Diamonds, with Plumage in the outer V.... pure goodness
The blush just makes it all come 2gether :P ( this pic DOES NOT do my eyeshado justice)

again, this was taken on my webcam, omg when I come home from school I need to buy some batteries for my camera, but just so ppl can know what C.U looks like ( NW45) I realized after putting on the makeup it might be too much for an Anatomy and Physiology class lol
off to school now

^Gorgeous makeup! The blush looks good on you! Thanks for the idea with Blue Sorcery! I might try that combo too! I tried on Blue Sorcery yesterday with Black Tied on the outer V and I liked it!

Re: MAC - Holiday 09: Magic, Mirth, Mischief (Colour Collection) Discussion
thank u! I actually tried it with a black eyeshadow, I felt it took away from the blue to much, so I was thinking of a darker blue, I almost forgot I even had plumage, try it! It's looks so yummy in real life I also added Delft ( sp?) paint pot with it....
make sure u used a base cuz some of the shadow faded that I blended into my crease by the time I got here to school, but then again, maybe it's jusy me, because I don't usually put a base on my crease, just the lids

Re: MAC - Holiday 09: Magic, Mirth, Mischief (Colour Collection) Discussion
I have a few questions;
Is It's a Miracle a must have? I have plum dressing, nocturnelle and other purple/plumish eyshadows. When i swatched it, it was nice and very smooth but i couldn't justify buying it when i have lots of purples.
Same goes to Blue Sorcey; I have Parrot and Talent pool. But it's a nice blue...What do you guys think?
I didn't want to get Unfer your spell but when i swatched it, it was beautiful..should i go for it??
I would appreciate any of your responses girls!
Face2mac did you get any of the eye palettes?

My first thought was yes to BC, no to MM, I have both. But now that I think on it, it's not a blue that is 'normal' ( don't really like the word normal ) that someone would wear all the time. I mean I dont think Parrot looks exactly like BC, but if you had to get one or the other, I'd say MM

Thanks for the birthday greeting Face2Mac!! I agree Lou. I'm going to order both Superdupernatural and Conjure Up MBs next week if it's still online.

Re: MAC - Holiday 09: Magic, Mirth, Mischief (Colour Collection) Discussion
I've been trying to wait a little bit on my purchases too -until some of the initial excitement of a new collection dies down.
Nunu, I don't find MM to be overly purplish...it's more of a taupe-brown-purple. Darker and cooler in tone than Satin Taupe. It was one of the real standouts to me, personally. I think it is different from the ones you listed...You can probably skip It's a Miracle though.
I am eying up Mayhem....it looks like such a rich golden color with that buttery texture, but I am still on the fence...I have Amber Lights and Woodwinked. I don't know. What do you girls think of Mayhem? Is it a must?

I'm now tempted to get Shimpagne MSF!! Even thought it would be better if they released it by itself instead of paying $59.50USD to get one MSF, one MB, one MES and the 181SE brush. Although I will wait and will get it next week for sure!

Re: MAC - Holiday 09: Magic, Mirth, Mischief (Colour Collection) Discussion
^^ I have Shimpagne (dome slightly flattened but still lots of product left; in excellent condition), it's up for sale/swap. Interested? Just PM me, maybe we can work something out.
I keep thinking about SDN blush. Damnit, why must it cost so much, I really really want it.
Oh and SDN blush goes really well with Blue Sorcery e/s (mixed with a bit of Devil May Care and It's A Miracle).

Nora, I really hate to enable, but I do have Parrot, but skipped Talent Pool, and my favourite tealish blue is now Blue Sorcery. It's just so smooth and perhaps not quite as bright of a blue as Parrot? Though I didn't do a side by side comparison. But every time I've used Parrot I haven't quite felt comfortable with it on my lids, but I adored Blue Sorcery.

I don't think any eyeshadow is a must have, but Mayhem is really pretty if you like those antique-y gold colours. It shows up more on my lids than Woodwinked, and it is definitely more of a brown gold than Amber Lights. I didn't even think of Amber Lights when I purchased it, but the comparison to Woodwinked did enter my mind.
I think I may cave and get Midnight Madness. Maybe I'll convince DH to get it for my birthday, since I'm on supposed to be on a no-buy!

Re: MAC - Holiday 09: Magic, Mirth, Mischief (Colour Collection) Discussion
^^ Blue Sorcery is AMAZING. I couldn't stop staring at it when I got my MA to put it on for me at the counter.
Seems like many people are on a no-buy right now. As for me, I'm on a restricted-buy, coz I can't bring myself to abstain from MAC completely.

Nunu, it's interesting that you see MM as a purple shadow....it seems like even on makeupalley a lot of the reviewers made the comment that it's a nice purple shadow but truthfully I see no purple in it at all. Maybe it depends on your skin tone? The only colours I see in this shadow is mixture of dark brown, taupe & dark grey but of course that's only my opinion! I think the important thing is for you to decide if you're very attracted to this shadow and if you see it as a unique colour. If you see enough resemblance between MM and a few eye shadows you own then I would recommend you to skip it because at the end of the day it doesn't matter if other people see MM as a unique shade if it's not unique in your eyes.
I don't know if I would consider MM as the most beautiful shade out of the 3 you mentioned (what's a beautiful colour is very subjective so that's for you to decide ) but IMO it's the most unique shade out of the bunch.

i managed to get mine in the clearence bin here because i didn't want the other bits from the kit. it was below retail and the dome is only just begining to flattern so i was happy. i bet it'd look even better on darker skin tones! it's the first highlighter that i've used that's not a pearly colour! but think it's great for peachy blushes

I loove Mayhem eyeshadow. Its so unlike any of the gold-toned eyeshadows I have! Its so pigmented and it swatches beautifully. Here it is vs other eyeshadows:
Mayhem vs Elite, Goldmine, Bronze, Woodwinked, Henna
Hope this helps
