MAC - Holiday 2008 "Red She Said" Discussion

Is it just me or does the purple in that trio look very much like the purple in the Odd Couple duo from Electroflash...? Hmm.. maybe its just my computer screen...

...and I'm not sure whether I should be disappointed or relieved that Miss Dynamite just don't look like my thang... I'm still crossing my fingers for a true red Dazzleglass, dammit!!!

Yes, it does look like it. It also reminds me of Beautiful Iris. Depending on which way my laptop computer screen is... lol.

Miss Dyanamite looks so pretty, or at least unlike anything I have in my collection so far. But I'm not sure if I want to fall in love with another MAC product. When paint pots came out I swore that I would never get one and become addicted, and now I have five.

Why, thank you! I finally think I figured out the Macro setting on my camera, so I kinda wanted to commemorate it. Especially since I've had the camera since May.

Actually, it is similar, but the Odd Couple purple is darker. I would say that the purple in Mi'Lady is almost an exact dupe of the Outspoken purple though. If you want, I can take a comparison picture of all three, tomorrow in daylight, and post it.

I don't think I really like the trio or the dazzleglass. I'm in shock right now. Right now, I just want some red handled brushes, dammit. And, some red satin gloves. Oh yeah.

And even though I've found my red eyeshadows, I'm still really hoping for one or two in the palettes! Or maybe a red pigment! It's almost as if MAC has been teasing us with these not-quite-red pigments to get us all antsy for a red holiday collection one.

Kinda OT, but which shadows are your red shadows?! I'm asking because I have still yet to find my perfect red shadow

omg! i'm lovin' the new swatches of the miss dynamite, mine! fortunately i'm warmed toned so i know it will look hot. even if i wasn't, it wouldn't stop me. dazzleglass=love.

I can't wait to hear the details of this collection! With the products I have seen so far I am not overly impressed but that could change. I know that I want the brushes just because of the red handles.

I agree....Im still not sure on the shade but Im trying not to look at the color in the tube and trying to picture it looking like warm, bronze, golden diamonds melting all over my lips. Thats what I keep imagining when I think about Miss Dynamite. I feel like it'll make my lips loook big and pouty

We shall see.

(BTW, I hope that this isnt the only Dazzleglass they have in the making for us)

If you want to go the MAC route, the red in Mi'lady over Flammable is awesome! Pure Luxe has a shadow called OMG that is a loose red shadow that is red! Just pure red bliss. And they also have a darker metallic red called Molten. Fyrinnae has a liquid liner that can be used as a based that is a metallic red called Sensual Scarlet. Or, if metallic shadows aren't your thing, Aromaleigh has several red shadows in their Sonic Rocks! collection, which IIRC is on sale now where samples are like $.98 and all-sample orders have free shipping. HTHS!
