MAC - Holiday 2008 "Red She Said" Discussion

We have information about Sheer Minerals and the Mineralize Line (also Oct 16th) and know the Chill collection at the end of December.

And BTW, which collection will come in November between Red She Said and Chill?? Anyone?

My guess is that it will the collection that is bringing out the new version of the Metal-X shadows and the liquid glitter liners. I think Metal-X and the liners were out the day after thanksgiving last year, and there have been rumors of a new and improved version of the shadows. IMO, that's when we will see them. Just a hunch.

MAC doesn't address Holiday until Sept. We just have super ninja skills and got pics before then. lol

I do have some info on two collections coming out between now and the end of the year. One is supposedly the yearly MAC "couture" collection (like MACcouture and Stylistics and only sold at MAC stores/online). I am just waiting on further info before I dish.

I was writing out my what-i-think-i-need-from-now-to-the-end-of-the-year but there was quite a gap.....there is usually more holiday stuff, no?

It does make sense with the mineralize shadows, b/c wasn't antiquitease part 1 with the shadows around..the 20th of oct? then there was the minis that came out in nov. with curiositease and the palettes part of antiquitease.

those mes trios have me drooling! I think ill own the pinky trio, and the purpley one! the blue one also has me intrigued!

BRING ON FALL! lol bring on holiday shopping, crisp frosty weather and sweaters! yesss!

*caveat: I am ticked off with the sweltering heat and humidity, thus looking forward to the cooler temps!

On Glam Soup a few weeks ago with Adina & Janice they said that three collections coming after the holiday collection and sets are Metal Urge (metal-x anniversary), a collection called Little Darling, and Dazzlelash. That is all they said on Glam Soup was the names. I most likely shouldn't have said anything given MAC_Whore's post above! Sorry if I blabbed before I should have!

I am excited to see the Metal-x repromoted, and *hoping* for a slightly refined product. I returned the 2 i bought last year b/c I couldn't get them to work at all, they were such a mess! But i thought they were beautiful, and have since seen my friend use them and they looked great on her. I'm willing to give them another try.

Also these "little darlings" - i'm holding out for mini paint pots like someone suggested earlier! Probably won't happen but would be so cool!

I wish I could say the same! I have been in Alaska all summer and have only gone a couple days without wearing a jacket! I can't wait to get back to the warm weather for the last couple weeks before fall comes! Of course that doesn't make me less excited for the holiday collection!

based on the name, i think little darlings is gonna be the mini sets.

Little Darlings does seem like the sets of minis...but I do recall hearing about Dazzlelash somewhere on here awhile back. I will be ecstatic because I hate plain black or brown mascara, so colours are nice but glitters? Even better.

the word dazzlelash caught my eye!! seriously cannot wait for those because they sound sooo amazing and definately something to wear out to parties and such or even just glam up a simple look.

Maybe they are like the Lancome mascaras (Lancome Hypnose)?
Although the glitter can be a bit annoying when it is sunny out there....

Well of course you're going to have pigments and Lipglass, but I hope for a mini Dazzleglass set as well. Also I would love a set that was like the set of Paints from a long time ago where there were four mini paints and then an SE brush.

That would be great except that in the regular tube of dazzleglass there is such a small amount of product, so a mini set would be enough for a one time use, lol

agreed. for sure there will pigment/glitter sets and lipglass/lustreglass/plushglass. i remember when they had the mini paints, then two years in row there were mini shadesticks. now that both products are taking a dc hit, and paint pots are slowly growing, i can see a mini paint pot set this year.
