*wonders if she needs a Dazzleglass*
I'm generally not too keen on glitter. Which one in this release would be recommended for a dg newbie? I am NW20 with red hair and blue eyes.

Give it a try, but i gotta warn ya, if you don't like sticky stuff on your lips you might not like them!
As for the shade, I'd really recommend Sugarrimmed, it's almost clear and sparkly, it goes well with everything. Unless you're looking for some colour in particular?

That's a gorgeous combination I think! For a newbie I would recommend you Sugarrimmed or Baby Sparks, these are beautiful soft colors.
If you like it brighter try Date Night.

The glitter in the dazzleglass is very fine, so it actually looks more like a shimmer. Some are more shimmery than others, but they're not really OTT imo.

I agree with those as well, they both look great over lipstick.

Thanks! I'm OK with stickiness - I am more concerned about chunky/gritty glitter. Are these more refined looking? And as far as colour goes, I am open. Sugarrimmed looks like a good one to try first.

Re: MAC - Holiday 2008 "Red She Said" Discussion
I went on a no-buy for makeup this month Sept. 1-Sept. 25 and I have no budget for any of the collections, so I am itching to go out of my mind with purchases.

Gah I wish I were you! I was like that all summer, but now that I'm going to school and just living on savings, all of a sudden $$ has gotten really tight...no more unlimited budget for me.

Yes, these are extremely refined, you cannot feel the glitter in them at all- I compare these to Snowgirl Lipglass in which you actually CAN feel the glitter, and they are just entirely different. Plus, when worn, it's not so much a glittery lip, but a shimmer or shine...does that make sense? Not nasty pieces of glitter stuck to your lips like crumbs or something! lol.

Re: MAC - Holiday 2008 "Red She Said" Discussion
Oh no! I've only been away from the internet for a couple of days (damn boyfriend wanting to celebrate his birthday) and I come back and have had to revise my whole list Hmph.
New wishlist is as follows:
Neutral Lip Bag
Little Darlings - Coral lips (Pink Grapefruit.. yessss! )
Stark Naked BPB
..and a brush set.
I have palette OCD too! Although the packaging does look gorgeous.

Re: MAC - Holiday 2008 "Red She Said" Discussion
I looked at my order history on the MAC UK site and it says that last years mini lipglass sets were £24 as were the pigment/glitter sets. The brush sets were £39.
Don't remember how much the eyeshadow palettes were, they are usually about £29.
No doubt prices this year will be different to what they were in the past though. But atleast it gives you something to work with budget wise.

Re: MAC - Holiday 2008 "Red She Said" Discussion
I want to start wearing more of my dazzleglasses....I have sugarrimmed, date night and glamour OD. I really want Miss Dynamite, and I may look at some of the other ones...I wish they brought back comet blue and bare necessity and a non-stinky rags to riches
Ummmmmm Im still not too excited aboutt hese but I want:
-one or two of the lipglass/lustreglass sets
-one of the lip BAGS
-one or both or the pigment sets
-maybe a brush kit
To be honest I forget what else comes out with this
But I am definetly going to get my mom an eyeshadow palette, a lip bag maybe, and my sisters getting a pigment set I think.

Re: MAC - Holiday 2008 "Red She Said" Discussion
I would like to get the two blushes for sure (blush addict). They look gorgeous! Some dazzleglasses, and maybe one of the brush sets. I missed out on the dazzleglasses the first time around. I am also considering one of the lip sets (lipglass + lustreglass), the one with Little VI.

No, it was KaDeWe in Berlin and the store in Düsseldorf. Not the Douglas counters, sorry. But we will see if it will be online.
